Location, room, food in restaurant

Alarming stains on the wall near the bed. We highlighted this on check-in and we were offered a change of room which we declined because we had unpacked. Breakfast cost us and extra €60, because the petit déjeuner option at under €10 was not visible when booking, the only option was breakfast @ €19 - this was very disappointing.

We booked the hotel having stayed there before and it was perfect for us and our 4 mini dachound's. We were placed in an Executive room which gave us more space. However, this was in the middle of the corridor which meant that every passing person made the dog's bark, not sure if we could have been placed in a room towards the end of the corridor to lessen the disturbance to others. Easy to find and access back to the main roads. Looks incredible as last time they were under refurbishment. Restaurant was lovely and food was great. Staff always helpful and made sure our night was a good experience. FYI - Very Dog friendly.

Location of our room, middle to corridor meant dogs were disturbed consistently and bark which could disturb other users. 20 Euros per dog seemed a little excessive compared to other hotels we have stayed in.

The Novotel felt luxurious and modern . The beds were extremely comfortable and obviously expensive pillows and bedding . The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean with decor modern and relaxing atmosphere . Breakfast was a feast of both hot and cold choices to spoil us. Coffee and teas ..very good choices here too. The staff were friendly and helpful too . We will without hesitation stay here again on our journey from ferry as first stop and visa versa on last shop before Roscoff from Spain.

All more than very good .. excellent throughout!!

The room was a good size for a family of 3, with a pull out bed. Location next to shopping centre was convenient although it's easy to miss the entry to the hotel as the sign isn't very prominent. We didn't go into central Rennes; we were passing through for one night on our way elsewhere. The dinner we ate at the restaurant was good and the decor and cleanliness were welcoming and comfortable. There was a pool and fitness centre although we didn't use them; we appreciated the idea of the refillable water bottle and drinking water available on our floor. Check in was straightforward and easy.

The service in the restaurant was a little bit slow, not a lot of choice of children's menu.

Very helpful staff, food excellent - I had the duck, and they were very helpful in relation to gluten free options, and cooked up some GF bread for us for breakfast as well. They were very welcoming also to our dog, and there was a lovely big park next door to the hotel to walk her as well. The hotel reception/bar/dining area is really cool -love how it is decorated in a funky way. And there are lots of electric charging points in their carpark as well. The staff could not have been more helpful, and I was able to check out late for a fee of €25 and was not disturbed by staff while on a work call during this time, although there was also no problem if you needed to work in the open areas either. Although really close to the ring round around Rennes, there was no noise from traffic.

Nothing negative to say. If I need accomm in Rennes again I will be back.

Loved the hotel, the staff were amazing, so friendly and very helpful, food at the restaurant was good and the location was brilliant.

The hotel was awesome and we loved our stay. My only negative and the only thing that needs rectifying is the entrance to the pool. You had to step into a hole of slightly mucky pool water or climb to the left where there was a bit of wood covering another hole to get in. So not exactly ideal and is an accident waiting to happen.

Comfortable room. Friendly staff. Excellent location just off the motorway. Close to shops. Good for overnight stay.

To obtain hotel information you have to download a QR code, then sign up for a 7 day trial. Unacceptable. I wanted a menu for the restaurant. I also did not wish to order my meal via an app. I managed without any hotel information. This is not good for your customers.

Big spacious room and free parking..close enough to the City Centre but you really needed a car to drive to it.. Lovely swimming pool outside with great gardens surrounding it...lots of places to relax by the pool.

Breakfast overpriced at 20 euro. Bar just ok and expensive. Was charged for drinks I hadn't ordered but was refunded when I challenged it later on.

Parking was easy, near to large shopping centre and easy walk to metro/bus stop 32 into Rennes. Great breakfast. Clean large room. We had dinner one night - great food. Loved the duck. Very helpful staff even when we needed change for the metro. We loved the fact they had a water fountain to refill and a fridge.

The interconnecting doors were both hard to open/keep open. No english breakfast tea was available in the room and no body lotion in the bathroom.
