B&B Nieuwhof is well located and a short distance from the main road so for us it was great as an overnight stop on our return to the UK from the Netherlands. However the setting is peaceful and would make an excellent base for a cycling or walking break in Belgium as well as being close to the various cities. Although our bedoom was the 'standard', it was large with a sitting area and large French doors overlooking open countryside. Complimentary coffee and tea are available at all times in the breakfast area where there is also a drinks fridge with alcoholic and soft drinks which are available at a small extra cost. We have an electric vehicle and we were able to charge this overnight in the parking area (by previous arrangement) at a very reasonable rate which meant that we could drive back to the UK the next day without having to worry about charging at Calais. Linda was an excellent host and could not have been more friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a continental selection of pastries, bread, cheeses and meats, fruit and yoghurt - eggs were available (laid by the resident chickens) but we had already had plenty!

It was all excellent - there wasn't anything not to like and we will certainly be recommending to family and friends.

The room and bathroom were of a high standard, the decor of the breakfast room was lovely and there was a really nice outside seating area. The bed was very comfortable, the location was very close to the main highway and the breakfast was very tasty with an individual serving by the hostess.

The signage of getting to the property could be more prominent, I drove past it the first time and had to turn around, I’m glad it was still daylight, it could be a problem in the dark, the track is narrow with ditches on either side, there were no passing places.

Nieuhof is a lovely, spacious B & B. The rooms and the breakfast area are spotless and the beds have to be the best I've slept in, in my 15 years of visiting the area. Care parking is safe and secure and there is even an EV charger if required. I would happily recommend spending time at Nieuhof.

The breakfast was a continental breakfast and was very good. The rooms are modern and large with very roomy en suite with bath and seperate shower cubicle. The rooms are very easy accessable, all on the ground floor. great views of open countryside from the room. A perfect stay if you want peace and quiet.

The only thing that was not my preference was that it was two singles pushed together and not a double bed

Large and beautiful room. Comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Lovely breakfast. Great selection of drinks and snacks to buy. Good area to walk the dog. Short distance to lots of interesting places both along the coast and inland.

Beautiful remote location Quiet and restful Lovely modern bedrooms and bathrooms Really friendly hosts who went out of their way for us Plentiful breakfast and appreciated the childrens cutlery The honesty bar was great! Especially as it was a bank holiday and no shops were open. Would 100% go again!

Small issues. There is no barrier aside from a two wire fence at the back of the property where the bedrooms open outside between the garden space and the field with cows in. Not a massive issue but with a toddler it meant we couldn’t use this space due to risk of them bolting underneath. Some more child friendly options for breakfast would be appreciated (there may have been but I didn’t see) cereals for example?

Liked all of it and appreciate the great service of Linda and her husband! If there is any opportunity looking for a hotel in that region I would love to come back.

We had flight problems and it was very important for us to check in early. Linda did everything she could to make us feel comfortable and accommodated.
