This place was an unexpected treasure nestled in the Far Hills area. From the moment we arrived, we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere throughout. Our room was impeccably clean, featuring new furniture and high-quality bed linens and pillows that made for an exceptionally comfortable night’s sleep. The breakfast was good and the overall standard of food was excellent. The location is another major highlight: just 10 minutes from downtown, yet tucked away in a peaceful, quiet area. To our pleasant surprise, the property is only a one-minute walk from a beautiful lake, where we were even offered complimentary access to two kayaks — a perfect touch for a relaxing afternoon on the water. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended.

The rooms could benefit from better sound insulation, as noise from adjacent rooms or the hallway was occasionally noticeable.

The best part of the Hotel is the calmness and quiet location. It's nestled in the beautiful hills of the Laurentide. The area and towns of Val-Morin and Val-David are pretty and friendly. If you're an outdoor enthusiast this will be your playground. The lake at the hotel was incredible to swim and paddle in. It was July 1st long weekend and I had the lake all to myself for 4 days. The staff were all friendly and the vibe is chill. The breakfast was simple: A deviled egg, croissant, cheese and fruit. Nothing fancy but did the trick.

The resort property is dated and could use some maintenance/TLC. The dock was sinking, The grass needed a cut, and there was an abandoned construction project of a main hotel building that was a bit of an eyesore. This isn't a luxury resort, but it was a great place to disconnect.

The hotel is beautifully positionned in a walking distance from the Far Hills park. It has a little private beach on an aboslute stunning peaceful lake. The room was very clean, nice, recently renovated and well equiped - everything was on place. We had door codes to enter the hotel and our room giving us a sense of freedom; sometimes there was not even a front desk person. First time we were at a hotel with this feature and really liked it.

The bathroom and front doors need a bit of oiling... to avoid noise (bothersome especially in the night).

The staff was probably what stood out most to us. Chloe was helpful from the get-go, making sure to upgrade our room to one with AC and arranging for a table outdoors for supper. She was always willing to help and very courteous and polite. She is certainly a great asset to the Hotel! Location was a winner for us, as we enjoyed the feeling of being in a remote location while being a 10 min drive from the highway.

Unfortunately, our room had a door connecting to the room next to us and we could hear everything from the neighbors' music to the hairdryer.

Once again a comfortable and lovely stay at this gem in the Laurentians. Off the beaten track it is peaceful and calm and right next to the Regional Park and a myriad of excellent ski trails. The staff at this hotel are super friendly and kind, the room is clean and has all that we needed including a mini-fridge, the bed (in the two queen bed room) was extremely comfortable, breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at FarHills and plan to return. The location is convenient, not too far from Val David (15min drive), close to the regional park. The rooms are very clean and well equipped. The manager called us before we arrived to make sure everything would be okay as it was a snowy day, a real Christmas in April, and the lady who took care of our breakfast was very nice and helpful. We'll be back this summer to test the tennis court!

The heating unit was a little bit loud

rooms appeared to have been renovated recently. In any case every corner was clean. everything worked in the room. staff went out of the way to accomadate us (mobility issues). very peaceful in the rooms, the hotel and around the hotel.

no place to put soap etc in the shower and could have used another towel bar to dry towels. we were told that the restaurant might open on the Wednesday but that didn't happen.

We stayed here for 1 night in the middle of the summer. We had an amazing experience!! The rooms were very clean and not too cramped. The toilets were clean and seemed newly renovated. The lake!! Omg! I don’t think this place advertises their private lake enough. It was truly breathtaking. Although the place was fully booked, we did not see other guests at the lake! Extremely beautiful, clean and calm. The stars at night were also breathtaking. The staff were so helpful! The lady at reception was so kind, and managed to find me a candle, so I could celebrate a mini birthday for my husband.. The breakfast was very nice!

the wifi did not work at all! Like the login page didn’t pop up to begin with and apparently it was because the place was fully booked so it was kind of busy. The other problem was that the place was understaffed. There was a restaurant onsite that we would have liked to try, but there was just one chef who was getting the orders from guests, making them and serving them.. so it would have been a very long wait.. lastly, the advertisements show that paddle boards and kayaks are available to use, however they were locked up due to apparently a recent accident. So we could only use paddle boat kind of thing which didnt work properly.

Would have liked more information on site and upfront on what facilities are available for clients. A directory or map would have been helpful for guests. For example, could we use tennis courts, beach. or kayaks, hotel food options, restaurants nearby, kitchen, what the park across the road has to offer. Would have liked a television on the room.

Location is beautiful. The small lake is calm and gorgeous. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was very nice, clean and cozy. Hotel is a 5 minute walk away from the regional park that is filled with hiking and mountain biking trails. Passes for the park were given to us for the length of our stay.

Maybe it was just that weekend but the only thing that I would improve on would be to have more water craft available on the beach. When we were there, there were only 2 kayaks and 2 pedal boats (one which was out of order).
