The breakfasts were delicious. My room was cute, historical, bed was very comfortable and AC was superb There was no tiny fridge or coffee maker but the Vendiver Inn is supposed to feel like home so those items were not essential. One could get coffee, cold water, and munches in the reception room I loved staying there. Especially the little balcony off of my room. It felt like home and i will definitely stay there again on my next trip.

I liked everything. The whole ambiance was awesome of being in a grand house that was built in late 1800’s but modernized to be comfortable today.

I love Vandiver Inn. I usually stay at the Murphy House because its quiet and I feel great being able to come and go freely because of work. I always stay at Vandiver when I visit Harford County.

I arrived late after 11 hours of driving and I was hoping something would be open in Harve de Grace. It was not the InnKeepers fault, but she didn't know of anything opened after 9 pm in town. I did find a tavern tho that served food. Havre de Grace needs to suggest their restaurants to stay open to at least 10 pm.

We really enjoyed the staff, who were friendly and went above and beyond by contacting us immediately when they found we accidently left an item in our oom, and then arranged to get it back to us. We also enjoyed the location -- an easy walk to the water, plus to good cafes and an excellent wine bar. And the breakfast was quite delicious, too!

Only a couple minor complaints: our mattress was a little too soft for our liking, and the hot water during one of our showers didn't last very long. Otherwise, everything was great!

This bed a breakfast is an adorable property. The staff was welcoming, personable, and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. We would have liked a mini fridge, but we understand that didn’t go with the antique theme of our part of the inn. Our room was not advertised as having one. We know other, more modern rooms did include one, so something to think about when you choose rooms if that is important to you. We did have a balcony overlooking a beautiful courtyard that would have been perfect for evening drinks if the weather would have been better.

I love a fresh hot breakfast. Fresh coffee, fresh fruit, fresh eggs, fresh cooked. The eggs and sausage were perfect. My only twinge of negativity would be that the breakfast was very sugary. I don't need sugar sprinkled onto the waffle batter and cooked into a sugary crust; the syrup is sweet enough for me.

The bed mattress was so soft that it was hard for me to sleep comfortably.

It is a beautiful home on a quiet street. Since we stayed on Thanksgiving they were very accommodating on our check in process early and good instructions with keys.

The breakfast was delicious. The only thing that disappointed me was no fresh berries and the butter and jam was served to me in mini plastic tub, the kind you see in a cafeteria or a Hampton Inn breakfast. For a true bed and breakfast, I would not have expected that. The eggs and toast were delicious and made fresh which is nice. The mini split heaters in the Wolbert room did not work very well and we were a bit chilly overnight

The Vandiver is so charming! Super comfy bed and the staff were all wonderful!

The room was super warm and we couldn’t turn the AC on. Luckily I was able to open a door to the outside to let some fresh air in once I turned the heat off. Even with the heater off, there was still hot air coming in through the vents in the floor. If there hadn’t been a small fan in the room, I would’ve been cooking. I was also bummed that it was so hot we didn’t get to light the fireplace which was the primary reason for booking the room that I did.

The Inn was beautifully kept and landscaped. The location was perfect for walking to everything: downtown stores, restaurants, promenade, lighthouse area and decoy museum. Our room was a nice size, good size bathroom, everything was very clean. We enjoyed the hot breakfast, it was nice to have three options. We would definitely stay at the Vandiver Inn again.

My husband and I got married at the Vandiver 10 years ago and loved it so much that we decided to spend our 10 wedding year anniversary here this weekend and we fell in love with it all over again. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was extra special. I cannot say enough about our inkeeper Caroline. She was friendly and attentive and made sure we had the best stay possible. From champagne and a dessert board to a yummy breakfast not even the rainy weather could put a damper on our weekend thanks everyone there. We look forward to more anniversary stays in the years to come.

Vandiver Inn is in a very nice and quiet location with easy access to everything in Havre de Grace. Maryland and surrounding areas in Harford County. Maryland. The room was spacious, clean, set up well, and made us feel at home. Great communication with staff prior to and during our stay. Breakfast was scrumptious! Service was top-notch. We will recommend it to everyone!
