Perfect location next to the station and city centre. That was super easy. Ladies at reception were very friendly and willing to help. Bad thing is that reception closes very early, but this is known and hence all is OK as you can enter and go without issues. Although I did not use this, check-in is possible even outside front desk hours as they prepare your key. So just to know, but all is perfectly arranged. The room had a European plug so that was convenient. Still hotel also lent me an adapter. AC worked fine and silently (and it was a really hot day). Breakfast is not a full buffet but restricted choices, but as I was only there for 2 nights it was good (fresh fruits, fresh orange juice, cheese, meat cuts, marmalade, different breads, eggs, yogurt etc) Room was very spacious

Bed was not super comfortable for me (not hard enough plastic cover on the mattress, horrible pillows - I'm used to ergonomic pillows). Carpet on the floor

Location was very close to the railway which is helpful. The room was very clean with big windows which felt nice. The breakfast was freshly stocked and the staff was kind. The single beds and bunkbeds were nice to sleep on.

We drove from the airport all tired, we should have been notified that there was no parking with the hotel. Or any instructors prior to us showing up and not knowing where to park. We had to stand by behind the building and my father had to walk around and ask the lobby members how to park. It was just a lot of extra steps that could have been told about earlier or given us the exact address via email before showing up to the hotel. That way we could have parked directly and then came to check in. I also feel as though we should receive bigger discounts for parking if not free.

The location - just across from the train station - was ideal for walking into Winterthur. The room was spacious and quiet with ample space for clothes, baggage and personal belongings. The breakfast was good in terms of selection, temperature and staff. The reception and staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The hotel offers a lounge (with a smoking section) and other comfortable seating in the foyer.

A couple of minor observations. The lighting in the bathroom is using LED-type spotlights which has of course become a de-facto norm. However, I prefer omnidirectional light bulbs which provide for a better all-around lighting - especially useful for shaving. There is a good selection of food for breakfast, albeit some travelers may be looking for bacon with their eggs or a larger selection of cereals.

Hotel Wartmann is ideally located right by Winterthur's main station and the old town. In spite of the central location, it is very quiet at night. We are actually locals to Winterthur and only stayed a night here while moving house, but we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel and the value it provides - we would recommend the place to any visitors, particularly to those who would also like to visit Zurich: thanks to the proximity to Winterthur main station you would be within twenty minutes in downtown Zurich and could easily do many other outings in the region by public transport. The room was spacious and comfortable. It had all amenities as advertised and it provided a good work environment as well. The bathroom was likewise modern and offered more than enough room for two. Finally, the breakfast was likewise very good, with plenty of choices.

Nothing - we were very happy with our choice.

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall was satisfied. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide selection. There were many different types of cheese available, as well as the opportunity to make fresh orange juice. Our room was large and spacious, providing a comfortable stay. The bed was big and comfortable, with a cozy mattress. The hotel's location is very convenient, with our windows facing the train station. Despite this, the windows have excellent soundproofing, and we were not disturbed by any noise.

However, there was one downside: the glass shower screen in the bathroom did a poor job of containing water. No matter how carefully we showered, water still ended up on the floor.

It's incredibly handy to both the train station and the historic core of Winterthur, yet also very quiet. We had a window that looked directly over the station, and trains traveled at night, yet they were almost inaudible (Swiss have gone a lot to being down train decible levels). The hotel is very clean and well run, in spite of desk personnel disappearing early in the evening (though that's not a plus, in my opinion). Breakfast was good. Overall an excellent deal

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The central location made it easy to explore the city, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting.

My stay was mostly pleasant, but the noise from the restaurant or kitchen located directly beneath our room was quite disruptive. Unfortunately, it continued until 10:20 PM, which affected our comfort. However, the staff and overall service were excellent otherwise.

It was clean. The staff were amazing! It was close to the train station! The breakfast was wonderful.

It would have been nice to have a table to eat at, when we brought dinner back. The lounge was nice, but the tables were low and a little difficult.

Very comfy beds and large room and good breakfast selection that was regularly topped up. 1 minute from station Check in wasn’t until 3 but we were able to leave our luggage for a few hours on day of check in

The shower cubicle was poorly designed with a gap underneath meaning the bathroom floor quickly flooded if you weren’t careful - meant had to keep turning water on/off.

Upon arriving the front desk person was warm, welcoming, and very helpful. The room was very nice and comfortable. The shower had great water pressure, which is always welcomed when we travel. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic!!!! Checking out was a breeze and, again, the front desk person was very friendly. If we were in Zurich again we would stay in this facility.

We would have appreciated a refrigerator to keep out leftovers from dinner.
