Breakfast was outstanding. Overall, it is a very good international hotel, offering good value for money by European standards, and conveniently located in central Windhoek within walking distance of the main shopping area.

Access to the casino is only available with a subscription and registration for a membership card — which is a bit complex, but reasonable. The issue was that the system was down, so registration was unavailable and access was denied. Not a big deal, but it’s a hotel and casino without an actual casino, at least for that night (the only night we stayed there, as our last night on the Namibia trip).

Loved our stay at Avani hotel. It’s centrally located which made it easy to tour popular attractions on foot. The rooftop restaurant provides for incredible sunset views and the cocktails were great. Check in experience was good. Thanks to Metakie (sp) for the detailed information. The breakfast buffet was great! Wide range of options. The Host, whose name I unfortunately do not recall, was friendly, super helpful and above all just radiated a lovely energy to want to be around.

Had the burger at the Pantry Restaurant located in the hotel and the food could have been better. Particularly the bun. The room service dining food was not much of an improvement either.

The Pantry was a great place to eat. We used it multiple times. The restaurant was also lovely food and service.

I got approached by a non-guest who asked to use my phone and took my photo. I was then anxious that I would be hacked somehow. I reported it to the desk but they said it was nothing to worry about. I have phone numbers if you need them. I think there should be better security to prevent non guests accessing all the floors particularly the top one where there was no staff in the morning.

Staff were very friendly and facilities was neat and clean. Breakfast was phenomenal

The driver that the hotel arranged to take us to the airport kept falling asleep behind the wheel on our way to the airport. Cars kept hooting as he kept swerving until we noticed and kept speaking to him to keep him awake his excuse was that his been driving since 4am that morning however this left me feeling very unsettled nervous and in danger

Great location, spacious rooms incl. bathroom, sufficient and fast elevators, parking (also some outside spots for 4WDs with rooftop tents), exceptional breakfast buffet, very friendly and well trained staff

roof top pool is more to just look at it or take nice pictures rather than using it as it is super small. Additionally, there is no free space or sun loungers to just hang out/sunbath. The complete area around the pool is reserved for bar/restaurant tables.

Property was clean and the staff were friendly

The food in both the Pantry and the 15th floor restaurant was awful. Pantry: Caesar salad. Minimal lettuce, made very soggy by the fried hot spicy chicken and bacon that was thrown on top. The dish was further ruined by using processsed smelly dried Parmesan on top. Please employ a chef who knows how to make the basics. 15th floor restaurant: offers a chicken burger - and it was topped with lettuce, tomato, cheese, pineapple and mushroom sauce. The side was potato wedges topped with cheese and bacon. We asked for the chicken burger with salad on the side. Again, the “2 crispy chicken breasts” were slices that had been coated and burnt on a plancher grill. Just horrid.

The location, it is in the only centre. The area is very safe and the hotel is adjacent to a shopping mall with a large grocery store, Spa and lots of curios stores. The hotel staff also made is “birthday plates” for both breakfast and dinner. It was a very nice touch to a special celebration In Windhoek👌. There are plenty of seating areas especially the roof top bar with the most magnificent views of the city. Very flexible and friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay in Windhoek and will go back to Avani Hotel Windhoek!

The location was right at the centre of town and was very accessible from any business districts in town.

I didn't like their hidden Dunes Restaurant. This restaurant is not only hidden, even its food prices are hidden as i only got to be told of the price of my meal when the bill was delivered and it was way way out of my reach and their food worth far far far less than the price. I suspect the restaurant was made with Casino customers in mind yet the riduculous prices.

Friendliness & service of hotel staff was outstanding. They were able to get me into my room a few hours early, before my official check-in time, after I had had long sleepless night flight.

The roof top pool could have ideally been a decent sized pool for swimming. However, thus would probably now require a major feat of engineering!

The hotel is next to a small shopping centre that has a good food store "Checkers" for safe drinking water as Namibia water can give rise to tummy upsets. There is also a large shopping mall close by (5 minute walk). The hotel is clean and staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The king size bed was comfortable. Hot and cold breakfast was good.

All was good.
