Martins Crest is slightly out of the main tourist area of Patnem so made for a perfect slice of calm! They have bicycles you can borrow for a very reasonable price and it’s only a 10 minute cycle to Patnem- we did it every day. They are also next to some great restaurants (Singhs!!) so you can walk 2 mins from the hotel for food. They have a rooftop area which is great for a morning coffee and to watch the birds and sunrise/ sunset in the evening. Richie at the hotel was a dream and could not be more helpful! We arrived a day early after a change in our plans and he helped accommodate us even though the hotel was technically ’full’. They are also a very short walk to a beautiful beach so if you don’t want to cycle to Patnem you don’t have too!

The WiFi was hit and miss.

The room was really comfortable. The bed was the best we have ever had in India ( stayed in some expensive hotels) The bathroom was very clean and modern, nice power shower. The staff were very friendly, overall a really fab place to stay , pool was a bonus !

We liked that it was in a quiet area away from the crowds but note that although the hotel has a very acceptable restaurant and there’s a couple of eateries within 5 minutes, it is a taxi ride to patnem or Palolem for a more comprehensive choice of restaurants. The morning walk to patnem beach is lovely and further on to Palolem is easy too .

We loved the beautiful terrace deck with stunning views where delicious traditional breakfast was served. We very much liked the food made by chef Ramesh in general and, a few times we had a dinner in their restaurant as well. There are comfy loungers and a swing chair to chill and watch the sunset. There's also a nice and calm swimming pool to cool down. Some other details we appreciated a lot were the very soft, thick and clean towels and the fridge. The most of all, we really appreciated the amazing staff, extremely friendly and service oriented who went above and beyond for us with their daily recommendations, and they left us with memorable experiences. Despite indication on booking.com and the entrance door of the accommodation, no international card payments were accepted.

The property is well located in south goa, most of the beaches are just 1 to 3 kms away. Room is pretty clean and have everything needed for a comfortable stay. The receptionist is very friendly and always available if anything needed. The food at the restaurant on top of the hotel is very tasty and of good quality. Both blakrishna and chef ramesh takes care of the customer very well at the restaurant.

The only issue is the wifi as I have planned to work remotely from hotel. It’s not so stable most of the time I used my mobile data for work. It would be great if Wifi is stable and available all the time.

Room was clean and properly maintained. Every amenities was there. Very good service. Nice view from the rooftop. Staff and owner behaviour was really good, appreciate it. Everything was perfectly working. Must recommend. Very peaceful area, beach was near. Had a great experience.

Nothing is there to unlike. They provide everything whatever we needed.

We spent 5 nights at Martin‘s Crest and more than enjoyed our stay. The room was very spacious and clean. The location of the hotel is also very good, the beach is only a few meters away and there is also a selection of restaurants nearby (in addition to the little restaurant in the hotel itself, which offers Indian/Goan dishes). However, we would particularly like to emphasize the absolutely helpful and courteous staff of the hotel, who always immediately took care of our individual wishes (e.g. laundry service, tours on our own, restaurant recommendations, etc.). Thank you, Richie & team for the wonderful time!

The outer walls are a little thin, i.e. outside noise gets inside (dogs barking); kitchen in room without crockery

Superb large comfortable room. Very clean throughout Kettle and fridge in my room Swimming pool was excellent and was clean and large enough for a few lengths each morning. Bicycles for hire (250rs/day) Helpful staff. 20 min walk to Patnem beach or 10 min cycle or 100rs taxi Patnem and palolem beaches are beautiful. I enjoyed martins crest so much I stayed 7 nights.

Richie as his family/staff were very welcoming and friendly. We loved the pool, the view from the terrace, and our comfortable, clean room. The little village was quiet and we could walk to patnem from there or a closer quieter beach. The Wi-Fi was spotty at times in our room but we could get it in the communal areas, they came to try and fix the issue, and they offered to change our room for better signal which was nice. They even invited us to join in their birthday meal of local goan cuisine!

However we did spend more time in patnem and palolem as they had shops/restaurants so the location was not quite so good for this.

The staff are exceptionally nice and helpful. I had an eye infection and they even drove me to the local clinic to see a doctor. The pool is lovely for a dip, well maintained and clean. My room was a good size with a fridge and kettle. The AC was also great. There's a local place called Sam's that's good for a dosa for breakfast.

My room was a little dusty above the eyeline. You'll probably need a motorbike or take taxis/rickshaws to get to nearby Patnem and Palolem. Also note: they don't take credit card (cash only).

I enjoyed the quality of the service, the staff are very attentive and helpful, Richie the manager is very focused to make sure that his guest are well treated. The room are spacious and well equipped. The breakfast is good and served on the roof top with a great view.

The noice made by the animals, more especially all the dogs nearby during the night, thanks I had my ear plugs. Not that close to the village as a walking distance.
