Beautiful Alpine Lodge, you know you’re in a beautiful lodge when you can still smell the wood. The most friendly accommodating staff thats were so genuine and happy to be working at this lodge. You can tell that they really have a lot of pride and happiness working here. Restaurant, service and the food was exceptional! Spa was perfect, not over the top but the simplicity makes it calming. Room was calm and welcoming. A couple of welcome gifts on the bed were a lovely touch. The use of a small pack to use whilst out and about hiking in our room was very convenient and useful.

Wow, what an experience! We were especially touched with the thoughtfulness throughout our stay. On check-in, we were oriented to the room where they had three little memorabilia of the hotel (a little day bag, a pouch and a note pad) that we were welcome to take home. On check-out, we had a small gift bag as well! The hotel understands their guests. Given most are there for hikes, the room was also equipped with a day hiking bag for use. We had our dog with us and I think he enjoyed his treats the most. The ‘dog package’ came with a very high quality dog mat, a dog bowl and a towel to clean his paws. Now that’s thoughtful! Breakfast spread was superb. And the staff - just delightful! I’m looking forward to my next stay!

This place was by far my favorite to stay at. The staff was great. They explained the hiking trails and even walked you to your room. My room was fantastic! The balcony was amazing with views even in the rain. They offered so many freebies and more. Dinner and lunch tasted great and typical prices. Grocery right across the street if you wanted to cook. Free sauna was fantastic and really relaxing. Was never too many people there. Loved the smell of the shower gel as well. I honestly can’t wait to come back here and stay longer.

The property is very clean and many details are very well thought through - a backpack in the closet in case you forget your own; a small purse. We were received with a wonderful welcome drink in the restaurant, which is also very good. The bed is wonderful - we had very good sleep.

We had some slight noise from the restaurant but since it closes in time this should not worry you. It you are an early and slight sleeper maybe ask for a room further down the hallways.

Best receptionist briefing ever on the tours and attractions and how to reach them. The reception knows the region very well and is able to brief you on every wish you have. Very wttentive and supportive staff. Conrad is personally cooking breakfasts. Everyone is friendly and welcoming.
