Loved this hotel for its kindness, cleanliness, and atmosphere. Had friendly staff and koi pond a the bottom. The friendly staff held our luggage for the day but also let us check into the room a few hours early, and it was a lovely spacious Japanese style room including tatami floors but with two twin actual mattress beds. The room was huge with a nice view and was only a short walk from Kochi Station. It's only a short walk to the city area as well. Loved the Japanese style breakfast. My friend was ill so the staff were really helpful to help me take her food to our room and eat it there. It cost a little more than our usual budget but it was worth paying a little extra for a fancy night of Japanese style accommodation with friendly staff.

The public bath/onsen was a little bit old-and a bit dirty with only one indoor bath. The showers in the rooms were nice though.

The check in staff was able to give details of hotel in English. Room was clean (quad room, large, mix of twin bed plus futons). Dinner and breakfast were kaiseki style and was tasty and adequate. Indoor public bath was not large but it had nice amenities. About 1 km walk to Hirome Market. Lots of eateries nearby.

Parking was ¥800 for off street parking. But for that the hotel looked after the car(I hope). There are further parking areas for slightly cheaper, if you want. The public bath step is made of marble and is slippery; be careful and hold the railing.

Beautiful spacious Japanese style room. Designed for 5 but there were only three of us so we got extra futons. Amazing view over river, nice seating area. Koi pool in reception.

The room is big and comfortable, and its design is distinctive and convenient. The staff is kind when I raise to store my luggage temporarily. The location of this hotel is perfectly good. It took me 4-5 minutes to get to hotel from Kochi station.

- Really close to the station and easy to reach - It had a nice feel overall (fountain in the lobby, nice deco, seemed fairly new) - Free amenities in the lobby (including a nice facial cream, which I was very grateful to have as the cold was drying my skin) - Window opened and had a view over the main road that leads to the station - Easy check-in and check-out - It has a 7/11 accross the road (which is SO convenient)

- The constant noise/bipping of the crosswalk sign is a bit annoying (I could still hear it with the window closed and on the 3rd floor) - maybe investing in double glazed windows would be a good idea? - The doors don't close slowly, so some of the guests were banging the doors loudly when getting in and out of the rooms, but otherwise it was quiet.

Staffs are professional and friendly. The location is near Jr station and not far from central area. Japanese breakfast set is amazing.

The mattress is a bit hard and the bedding are still in winter mode even if it is summer already

The location is good and the windows open. The Japanese style breakfast is decent, but not quite as good as you may get at a ryokan, but at this price-point, both the room and food are good value.

Need to be very careful about the room selection as some appear to have been upgraded much more recently. My room felt a bit industrial

The place is near Kochi station and all main attractions such as Hirome market and Kochi castle. The onsen is nice and room is friendly used with kettle and green tea and beautiful sunrise.

Staff was extremely helpful and let us park our expensive e-bikes in the lobby overnight!!
