Hotel san marco is a very well located hotel, in a beautiful building and with breakfast in a reasonable price. Parking nearby was easy. The room was spacious and the managers accomodating.

The shower was leaking on the floor because the parapet was not folding properly. Also, there is poor sound insulation and the cleaners were making too much noise early in the morning (before 10am) and we couldn t sleep late any of the days we were there.

Staff very friendly and helpful with my questions about Gubbio. Pretty good English. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the bus stop ciming from the train station in Fossato di Vico. It was a cool and pleasant place on hot August days. The breakfast was very good for an extra 8 Eu. Beds werw firm and comfortable.

I liked everything. No complaints at all Everything was great. As in many Italian hotels, the shower door had to be carefully arranged to keep water off the floor. This is very typical with the type of folding shower doors. Very minor issue- use your brain and a bit of cleverness and the user can keep the water in.

This was the second time we had stayed at the San Marko,and like the first it was an enjoyable experience . it is situated very close to the town centre,so close to all the restaurants /bars. We were met by Roberto who was a star.Whenever we came across him in the three days we were there he was cheerful and helpful. We did not have the breakfast option as we like to eat in the local bars of possible ,but what I saw of the breakfast it looked good Our room was at the front overlooking the town.The A/C was good as was the room and bathroom. We have traveled around Italy a lot,and Gubbio is well up on a place you should visit

parking close by could be tricky,but there is a car park opposite the hotel,which isn’t free Perhaps having a bar in the evenings would be good

This was an absolute hidden gem! The staff and location was absolutely amazing! The town had amazing history, cute shops, excellent restaurants with great service and top notch food, and a great hiking trail and bird cage cable ride to the top of the mountain! Just WOW!

Nothing not to like here, truly.

Fantastic host Roberto. It seems that there was no question he could not answer or a problem that he couldn't solve. Perfect service in general. Location is good, a few hundred meters to the town, but not on the hill, so one does not need to drag a heavy luggage uphill. Beautiful inner garden where one can also eat breakfast.

A great location – stepping out of the hotel, you are immediately in Gubbio’s historic center. The hotel is very beautiful, and the room was clean and tidy, without any complaints. A big plus – although paid, there is a large parking lot right in front of the hotel entrance.

The staff were wonderful! Our room was clean and spacious - I love the balcony and garden outside. It was nice having a little refrigerator. The location was convenient for everything we wanted to see. We liked the old-fashioned elegant decor. Nice breakfast.

The hotel is ideally situated near the bottom of the hill forming at the entrance to the medieval town, and is located near to a municipal car park, making it very convenient, given that it is difficult/impossible to park in the town centre. Our room faced on to an extensive common balacony area and was quite spacious and clean. Staff were inviting, friendly and informative. Gubbio is an unforgettable experience of a historic medieval hilltop town, brimming with architectural, historical and culinary wonders.

Nothing to complain about.

Even though I stayed only for one night, I can strongly recommend this hotel. It's quite close to the city centre, the staff is extremely nice and helpful, while the room was quiet and comfortable. The parking is free and very close to the hotel.

Very helpful staff, spacious and clean room and bathroom, excellent location and good breakfast. The quadruple room worked very well for us (3 sharing).

Single mattresses a little soft but certainly didn’t detract from our overall good experience.
