The friendliest and most helpful staff no matter the time of the day. The whole Westgate team was amazing and made us feel at home during the week we spent there. The rooms were cleaned daily, the room was quiet and the A/C gave us no issues, although it could get loud at some points. Very spacious for two people, both the room and the bathroom. The shower pressure was good, and the common toilets on the ground floor were also spotless. We were of course able to leave our luggage in storage after check-out, and could also have packages delivered to the hotel before our arrival.

I would like to see them offering proper breakfast in the future. There are also no light switches by the door, you have to reach the bed or desk area to turn them on/off. Not a real issue, but something I had to get used to.

Neat and tidy, best location which is just a walking distance to UN headquarters, grand central , Times Square and many more. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The staff were really nice, from the room service, to the bell boys and receptionists. There's a great seating area to hang out on the ground floor for eating. We didn't get the chance to use it but there was a small gym on the 8th floor. The hotel is in a great location with a bus stop right outside the building and a few minutes walk from Grand Central station. You can even walk to Times Square or Bryant Park where they hold different activities/events and is also where the library is.

There wasn't much we didn't like but if I were to say, I'd prefer if there was at least breakfast served at the hotel there were coffee machines in the rooms but not everyone is a coffee drinker.

I loved the friendly and genuine customer service & customer interactions. I loved the recommendation I received for somewhere to go for dinner, late, after a 21 hour trip from Australia. (The meal was delicious!). The barman with the cap was very helpful and friendly and obliging. The whole feeling of the hotel was warm and friendly and helpful, but in a very nice, discreet way. The doorman went to great lengths to find me a taxi. The location is great, ie proximity to Grand Central Station but also it’s easy to walk to a lot of places, eg Bryant Park, NY State Library, etc. Your staff were genuine and thoughtful and as a solo traveller, my stay there was perfect and I would happily return. Gold stars to this hotel***

The location is excellent and the staff is very helpful.

The hotel gives unlimited amount of bottles of drinking water. While this is very easy and convenient, this is certainly not environment friendly. The hotel needs to place a drinking water fountain for drinking water where the customer can refill their own bottles. There is a significant awareness on this issue and most people do not want plastic bottles but are comfortable refilling own bottles. The AC in the room makes lot of noise at regular intervals through the day and night. This disturbs the sleep.

We really enjoyed our stay! The location was great. It's a short, simple walk to Grand Central, which is great for getting around the city. Easy to walk to some good restaurants in the area too. The rooms were tidy and clean, and we didn't have any issues with noise from other rooms. The blackout blinds are a plus! The staff were friendly also - a quick check-in (after accommodating a late arrival), responsive to requests, and they give bottles of water every day. There is also luggage storage available. We would definitely recommend staying here!

The only minor thing is that the AC doesn't cool the room down very fast. The temperature was comfortable, but it did take some time to cool down fully.

Nice location although a bit noisy. The rooms are quite spacious for this area of town. The hotel has a nice old world charm to it, The doorman are extremely nice and helpful. The beds were comfortable and room was clean.

It would have been nice to have water machines throughout the hotel rather than providing bottled water and some of the room fittings (e.g. hooks) need a bit of a refresh but overall not much to mention.

This was a perfect stay, location of the hotel is great, near Grand Central and in walking distance from some of the main attractions in Manhattan, which was very convenient. I booked a room with balcony, it was on the 16th floor and it was absolutely stunning. Room was clean and spacious, there was also a coffee machine and small refrigerator. Bed was super comfy. Hotel staff was always very kind and helpful, they provide you 2 bottles of water per day. I was a bit worried after reading some mixed reviews but I just really enjoyed my stay there and it fulfilled my expectations. I can only recommend booking a room in this hotel. Also it was surprisingly quiet, when in the room you can't really hear anything from the street. And room was cleaned every day, which I really liked.

I was surprised by the spacious and well-decorated room. I slept very well because the bed was very comfortable, and I could not hear any noise from the street. Each room has a coffee machine and a fridge-bar that can be used for your products.

Breakfast could be improved, but they don't have a kitchen, so I don't think it will be possible. Nevertheless, there are several places outside where you can grab a bagel or a croissant.
