I'm the girl that read every review of every hotel in Ubud, so you don't have to. Stop looking, book this place. The place is amazing. While slightly disappointed we weren't able to get one of the rooms with a private pool, we ended up in one of the villas by the large pool, which may have been even nicer - they're surrounding the large pool. Decor, landscaping, security, service and food were super as well. Will definitely be back.

The only tiny thing is that the you can arrange private car service from Denpassar considerably cheaper than the hotel offers.

My husband and I enjoyed the first few days of our honeymoon in Bali here. Absolutely beautiful property with amazing facilities and restaurant. Our pool terrace room was clean and spacious, feeling very secluded and private, perfect for our trip. The small staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Every meal we ate on property was delicious, with creative flavors and plating, often paralleling the quality of the Michelin star restaurants we have back at home. Some highlights were the Balinese cultural dinner and the candlelit dinner in our room. We wish we would’ve done more on the premises, the spa offerings and cooking class looked amazing but we did not take advantage of them. Amazing value for the price all around.

We loved every aspect of it. If you’re looking for a place in central Ubud, this is not it, but getting to and from the city is no problem.

This hotel is heaven on earth. We never wanted to leave. The quiet Eden-like grounds are meticulously cared for, the traditional style Balinese cottages are spacious, comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. Bed is supremely comfortable. There are complimentary yoga classes, and a class on the making and meaning of the daily offerings which was very special. Free shuttles into Ubud center were very convenient. The food was fabulous, the breakfasts especially. Most of all, it was the kind, lovely staff that made our stay so special. We have never felt so lovingly cared for.

Where do I begin? Our stay here was absolutely perfect in every way! The staff are lovely - always kind, warm and so helpful. They truly made our stay so special, organising every request. The chef deserves a Michelin star - every dish was perfectly cooked, plated beautifully and had a wonderful variety of options. The resort is also stunning, a short drive from Ubud central overlooking the untouched jungle valley where you can hear all the birds and insects through the day. We stayed in the private pool villa and it was luxurious! I let them know my partner and I are visiting for a romantic getaway and they went above and beyond to make everything perfect for us. I can confidently say this is worthy of 5 stars and is the best resort in Ubud. We will definitely be returning.

We loved this place. It was amazing. We had an infinity pool with a view over the river and jungle. It was my wife's 50th birthday and they even had balloons and decorations in our room when we arrived and brought her a special birthday cake. The staff were so kind and helpful! We enjoyed the local Balinese music that played in the mornings and some evenings. We missed a live show, but we're sure that would have been fantastic. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We loved the outdoor villa area. We had a room service one night and ate outside. The bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant food was varied and we loved all of it. The breakfasts were large and we learned to ask for fewer items each day so we would not be wasteful. We would definitely recommend this resort and would love to stay there again one day.

Can't think of anything! It would be great to heat up the infinity pool just a little bit...but we know that is not really practical. We still used the pool and loved this resort!

We spent 5 wonderful days here. We give the hotel 10 out of 10 stars, everything was really perfect. The entire complex is beautifully maintained, a wonderful jungle garden with a beautiful, refreshing pool and fantastic views of the rainforest. The food is simply phenomenal, you can order everything to your room at no extra charge. Afternoon tea with small delicacies was served daily on the terrace of our room. The staff is incredibly friendly, courteous and helpful. We booked a Balinese massage every day, Kadek and her colleague were wonderful and the massages were the best we had in Bali. The yoga and sacrificial ceremony offered were also great. We would like to thank the entire hotel team from the bottom of our hearts. Thanks also to Nia from reception especially for the free upgrade to the villa with private pool for the last night. We can highly recommend the Ubud Valley Boutique Resort and would come back at any time. If someone is looking for a really personally managed and especially hotel in Ubud away from the hustle and bustle, this is 100% the right place for them.

From the beginning till the end of our stay, we were overwhelmed by the friendlyness of the staff and breathtaking atmosphere. Great food, and a beautiful villa with a wonderful view of the jungle, and a private pool in our backyard, with flowers in the bathtub, private candlelight dinner, and even a " floating breakfast"... and many many more....Super romantic place to relax, would definitely recommend it to anyone. I'm sure we will come back one day.

This place is absolutely exquisite. Probably one of the best places I’ve stayed in all my holidays to Bali. Staff spoilt us, service second to none, massage and spa treatment was the best I’ve ever had, setting is serene and peaceful, super comfortable bed and the food… well the food was out of this world delicious (we chose not to eat anywhere else while we stayed here because it was so good!). Thank you for looking after us and allowing us to stay in your beautiful little piece of paradise!

There’s is nothing that we didn’t like.

The dark wood lodges were magnificently fitted out and super spacious. Just behind the infinity pool, our lodge felt private and extremely comfortable. Our veranda was the perfect spot to start each day to soak up the local ambiance overlooking the jungle whilst enjoying a fresh and tasty breakfast! The staff were always extremely kind, polite, helpful and took care of all our requests. All the offers/services offered by the resort along with the shuttle service into Ubud were extremely professional and useful. We stayed nine days but wished we could have stayed even longer such was our immense pleasure and satisfaction with the resort! A superb place to just relax and be spoilt!!

We have stayed in many hotels worldwide and Ubud Valley Boutique Resort is exceptional. We stayed for 7 nights and cannot fault it. A 30 minute drive (complimentary shuttle) from the hubbub of Ubud and we were in paradise. On the edge of tropical forests, the tranquility and beauty is breathtaking. Without exception the staff looked after us with smiles, they were courteous, charming, efficient, intuitive and gentle. The food was excellent, fresh and beautifully presented, plus there were thoughtful extras such as afternoon tea and daily activities each morning. Our villa was spacious with a huge, comfortable bed, beautifully and traditionally styled, surrounded by gardens overlooking the infinity pool to the forests beyond. We didn’t make use of the bicycles but we did take some fascinating walks around the local area. Would return in a heartbeat.
