My first time staying here after being recommended by a friend and my stay was exceptional. I stayed in the junior suite The cleaning staff are amazing! I never caught the gentleman's name but he always said good morning and was so polite and always asked if I would like my room cleaned. This gentleman even came back later at night to replace the bath mat and robe because he said he didn't do it. What a champion guy! All staff from the door man to reception to cleaning staff and room presentation was excellent, and meets above expectations always! Thank you so much for my stay and I'll be back in a few weeks time =)

The location was great—very convenient if you're arriving by train from the airport. It’s also right next to a shopping mall, which is handy if you’re interested in grabbing food or doing a bit of shopping. The bed was comfy, and having air conditioning was a real relief from the humidity. While the photos don’t always perfectly match the reality, it’s a solid 3-star standard hotel and overall a comfortable place to stay once we were settled in.

We had issues with our keycard not working and had to speak to reception three times before someone came to check. Even then, the staff member who helped us didn’t explain the situation to the front desk, so we were left waiting longer than necessary. It took about 45 minutes to resolve, which was frustrating. That said, we appreciated the eventual upgrade and working keycard—just would have liked a bit more urgency from the staff.

The room was absolutely magnificent, no windows so completely blacked out (very good for us for sleep) very comfy bed. Hot water was not working the first night but once reported was fixed straight away and was a very powerful hot shower from then on. Staff on reception were so kind and helpful, lobby staff also helpful with bags and restaurant staff were kind. Room service for food available and free gym on top floor with an ATM with no fees right next to the lobby. Honestly a really really good hotel with top points in every area

Comfortable, clean, and spacious room. Great service. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices. The gym is great too - it's an actual gym so fully functional and well equipped. They have a vegetarian restaurant onsite which serves delicious lunch/dinner on top of their normal restaurant.

Their normal restaurant has shark fin soup on the menu. Made us feel a bit uncomfortable once we discovered that, as we try and travel sustainably. So just some food for thought and considerations for you, if you're also into sustainable travel.

Easy accces,medan centre point walking distance, station keretapi ke Kuala namu. Also walking distance just opposite medan centre point, many Muslim eatery nearby just walking, 3 days breakfast.. Menu change everyday and tasty, Indonesian cuisine. Smell fresh when enter the hotel lobby coz of their fragrance.. Really love it, because when outside the air feel like smell cigarettes and smoke, need to wear mask. Facilties good. Bath towel, toiletries provide, can make up room everyday. Friendly staff. also provide free flow of water at the lobby and they keep changing it. Many beca/rickshaw and grab for transportation. GOOD JOB all of you.

Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception. Rooms with electric kettle and cups. Tea, coffee, and water was replenished each day. Very clean. Room size is fair. 5 mins walk from the station. City centre in convenient walking distance. Good base for exploring Medan on foot. Outstanding daily varying breakfast buffet with a wide variety of cold and cooked dishes to choose from (including spaghetti Bolognese?!). Unfortunately it was so much, it was impossible to try everything.

Rooms are noisy, but during the night the hotel was quiet and noise from the street was minimal. Some rooms have windows facing the narrow inner courtyard. Rooms "with a view" come with a surcharge an need to be explicitly booked.

This is a centrally situated hotel. The Marine restaurant offers good quality meals in the evening and a lovely breakfast spread. Breakfast dishes do disappear quickly so if you arrive late most goodies have gone, replenishment is not a strong point. The hotel is close to the train station, so getting to and from the airport is easy. The room was a reasonable size and the aircon worked well. The hotel has a back and front entrance so there is no need to walk around the building in the bustle and heat.

The walls are a little thin if you have noisy neighbours.

Karibia Boutique Hotel in Medan is a solid choice for a quick stay, especially if you’re catching an early morning flight. The room I stayed in didn’t have any windows, which might not suit everyone, but it wasn’t an issue for me since I just needed a good night’s sleep before traveling. The location is super convenient—close to the train station and right next to a shopping mall, which made grabbing dinner and last-minute items really easy. Not a place for a long holiday, but perfect for a comfortable transit stay.

No window rooms

Real 4 stars in town. Staff , very smart to handle the customers, I salute the training trainer who supervised their trainings. All of the staff are in a systematic harmony from that young lady who facilitated my booking since arrived or the housekeeping staff or the security guys. Medan has an issue about English speaking staff but I found them in this good property.

There were a few issues but irrelevant to discuss due to having the pleasure of meeting Bambang Harsoyo (room division manager), one of the most professional, understanding individuals I have come across, he demonstrated great empathy from being apologetic and resolving my issues. He upgraded my room and arranged a lovely gesture (see the image). Karibia Boutique Hotel needs to promote this man! My ratings are based upon his professionalism. Bambang is the blueprint for success for any hotel. Thank you, my friend 👊
