This hotel checks all the boxes. We are so pleased with the service we received at Voco Chiayi. We want to acknowledge the outstanding service we received from Vito. He greeted us with a genuine smile and he treated us with such hospitality similar to how one would treat family. The exterior hotel is absolutely beautiful especially at night. The interior design includes an elegant lobby with modern decor throughout the hotel. The rooms are a good size with comfortable beds. We had a wheelchair accessible room and it made our stay alot easier (plus safer). Vito ensured our accommodations exceeded standard and he anticipated our needs. His actions in having a rollaway bed was not only thoughtful but it helped make things easier for my elderly disabled mom to get in and out of bed. There are safety feathers throughout the room. We accidentally set off an alarm and hotel staff promptly responded. I also like that they have a silent siren that flashing red in the room which is good for hearing impaired guests like my mom. The thermostat in the room is digital which makes it alot easier to operate. The room we booked came equipped with a flat screen TV, safe, coffee/tea station with snacks, a desk, sitting area with sofa, chair and table. Laundry services were convenient. The breakfast buffet is wonderful! We enjoyed our daily breakfast and appreciate how welcoming the staff were. This hotel also has wheelchair accessible bathrooms in the common areas such as just outside the breakfast dining area. We loved this property so much that we made it our launching pad for visiting other areas of Taiwan. All of the staff here are consistently warm, friendly and professional. The overall atmosphere is bright and cheery.

The parking lot area can get backed up however, the hotel does an excellent job keeping the area moving. They help you in and out of your transportation. I'm not sure how walkwable the area would be for a wheelchair so ensuring you have transportation helps.

Despite it was extremely busy during the check in but all staff were super friendly and informative. The lobby “manger” in black suit ( I think his name’s Vito) was very helpful and also checking in with me the next day to see if everything was good. Room was spotless clean and mattress and pillows were also quite firm so we had a great sleep.

The swimming pool is excellent for lap swimming plus there is an extremely large whirlpool area and a separate small pool for children. Excellent gym that is well equipped plus every piece of equipment is in perfect functioning order.

The restaurant closes too early.

The spacious lobby and room was wonderful. The amenities like the pool, gym and kids play area were great.

The pool access control was confusing and inconvenient. The guest have to leave all the clothing in the locker, which is outside in the common area, instead of inside the shower area.

Very good hotel. Comfortable rooms. Great staff. Would go back
