I loved everything about the property. The property is located less than 1km from Melalane Kruger gate, there are game drive pick ups from the property to Kruger as well. They serve good dinner and the breakfast was great as well. The property does Mozambique and Swaziland tours so bring in the passport if you are interested . pool , spa and bar facilities. Perfect location.

The water in the bathrooms is dirty both from the hand wash basin and the toilet (flushing water), it is worse in the mornings. I assumed that there is some bathroom water recycling that the property is doing, which is great for sustainability however a little note to say do not drink water from the bathroom tap or something would have been great.

Great lodge in a beautiful location. Right next to Crocodile River with breathtaking views, wildlife at your doorstep and the Melane gate to Kruger just around the corner. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout. Very good breakfast and dinner. For the children a great water slide off the main pool.

The chalets are a bit dated and could do with little touch ups here and there, nothing major, we utterly enjoyed our stay. While the main bed is very comfortable, the second bed is a very had sleeper couch.

Teach your staff more greeting your guest when dining,was bothered by a question when entering your restaurant and after breakfast we were asked to pay yet we were guests of the lodge,have a list of your paying guest rather ask them upon arrival and let them tick off their names rather ,it was a bad experience for me

Great stay, last minute booking over new years. We really enjoyed ourselves. The NYE was great. Very much South African, we celebrated diversity and inclusive, the band allowed all the guests from around the world, including to request songs. We danced and enjoyed the beautiful view of the fireworks in the distance. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our children would like to make the Kruger an annual NYE tradition. We saw elephant, buck, crocodiles and hippos etc in the river across our room.

I wish they had more covered loungers for the deck, sometimes it would be nice for us to just watch the sunset in a comfortable position.

The room was clean and had all the facilities needed..Clean towels replaced every day.. The food portions were genourous and food was excellent quality. If didn't like the half board dinner option let choose off a la carte instead.. Ideal spot to go to Kruger National Park..

The outdoor pool didn't look clean enough to swim in. Booked a safari and was given the wrong time 5am pick up instead of 5.30am..Then the drivers car broke down so waited an hour. Came back to room and cleaner had left her phone plugged into our charger.

Very comfortable stay, great food and variety in the buffets, good set menus on full board options. Very comfortable beds and great Wi-Fi. Loved the coffee machine in the room, and plenty of sockets for charging phones etc.

With such lovely balconies overlooking the river, more comfortable seating would be great when you want to sit and admire the view. This is difficult to do in a wrought iron dining-style chair. Some of the staff could be more proactive when seating you, instead of watching guests move chairs and place settings themselves. Small things that more training could fix.

Its proximity to the Malelane gate at Kruger park is a massive win! The staff were great and the food was very very good. The room overlooking the river was great and it was a pleasure to wake up to hippo calls and fish eagles.

It’s a bit run down and needs a bit of TLC. I would have thought considering its peak season the grass would be cut but the gardens were overgrown and a bit rough. The pool is great but a few broken deck chairs etc. Focus on a few Small things will make the world of difference to the overall experience

dinner: booked and we expected a Buffet, but considering there were not many guests and there was an al la carte menu the waitron Nonhlanhla (apologies I did not ask her surname ) was extremely obliging and went out of her way to help and advise. We were served with exceptional dinners! The Manager Trevor Ndlovu was also very helpful and was ever willing to see to our needs and requests. Breakfast and dinner the next day was great! generally the staff, are very willing to accommodate.

Disliked · rooms and lighting should be checked regularly especially if a room will be occupied that day. There wasn't a blanket - but one was put in the day after. Room 105 (Lion) passage light was not working and there was water dripping from somewhere making the carpet wet at the entrance to the bathroom. I did report it. The coffee machine and supplies is wonderful, however someone at reception said i should use that machine to make hot water for tea when i requested a kettle... unfortunately this is not functionable because coffee bits / dust got into the tea! there is no microwave - in the room i cannot remember what the reason was years ago when i visited. your kitchen does not have a microwave to warm food for guests on request if necessary whilst dining.

The views in the river facing rooms are exquisite! The food is delicious! The staff are friendly, always willing to go extra mile and with happy smiles too. The game drive was enjoyable, spa was lovely...

The massage room at the spa was cold, I would lile to suggest using a humidifying gadget with peppermint, eucalyptus or even laveder oil for a.relaxing sent and perhaps a heater especially in winter to keep the room warm. Please include more activities within the lodge that guests can do. The smell in the bathroom coming from outside was not pleasant at all, not sure if its plumbing or the age of the building/aging infrstastructure.

Location is great, really close to the Malelane Gate entrance to Kruger. Accommodation was adequate. The rooms were a bit tired and in need of a refresh but nothing to complain about. Staff were brilliant - they made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Breakfast was very good. Unfortunately due to our flight being delayed we missed dinner.

Air conditioning unit was a bit noisy in the room as we were dropping off to sleep. Overall the bedroom and bathroom lighting was quite dark, would have preferred a bit more brightness.
