A professionally run small hotel oozing genuine alpine charm. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The highlights were the help we received with booking our ski lift passes online during check in as well as the advice provided regarding ski rental. The hotel is ski in/ski out; 30 meters of walking up a small road takes you to a blue piste to the Hörnli Express opening up the entire Arosa/Lenzerheide domain. Return via the same blue piste at the end of the day.

The hotel offers a different clearly laid out dinner menu every day. Many hotel guests chose this option. We found it a little pretentious and preferred to eat in the many restaurants in the village, easily accessible by free public bus.

The hotel location and the views of the mountains were stunning, both from the dining room and the room itself. The dinner was of a high standard and the set menus were excellent, as was the service. The staff were super friendly, helpful and very easy to talk to. The rooms and beds were very comfortable too. The hotel location was excellent, being so close to the Hornli lift and really peaceful. The Hotel Stoffel was the perfect getaway, and I will definitely stay there again when I next visit Arosa. Very highly recommended!

Staff incredible. Location superb (can go hiking from here much easier than from the town). Breakfast awesome. Don't be turned off by the fact that it's far from the town; you just hop on a 10 min bus to and from the city center and train station. This is one of the few hotels in Switzerland where I'd be totally cool staying here again if I came for a 2nd time (even if I forgoed the opportunity to stay at another place). It is so much worth it being in a quiet hotel high up in the mountains far from the city than to be in the hustling/bustling city. I also got an absolute steal of a deal with the price (was probably half off b/c it was a weekday in September; lots more expensive in winter).

Not really a lot to dislike. My bathroom was a separate, private bathroom that was 20 steps from my room, which was strange/first time I've seen something like that but not a big deal. I still give this place a 10/10 b/c of the awesome staff, facilities, food, service.

The Stoffel hotel was indeed a happy find. Right from entering this renovated old house with the slight scent of pine we knew it would be perfect. The room with a South facing balcony onto a glorious mountain scene was the setting for a wonderful stay. The staff were warm,friendly and helpful and the evening meals in the restaurant were very special. We will return to Arosa and especially to the Stoffel hotel.

Absolutely nothing.

Extremely nice hotel, rooms and staff. The changing dinner is fantastic (based on local seasonal produce), and you get it to a lower rate when you stay at the hotel. We (my wife and I) had the room with the rooftop terrace, which is an amazing place both during the day and to watch the stars at night. The hotel also gave us 2 "Arosa Cards" so we could ride the lift system, buses and most of the train ride to/from Chur (Arosa-Lüen + Lüen-Arosa) for free. That is a nice touch! The hotel is quiet, cute, beautiful and excellent spot to start your hikes, have a romantic holiday or take the gondola lift to the Hörnli mountain station. The nearest bus stop is only 2min walk away.

The hotel staff went beyond the normal to make our stay great. They stayed late so we could check in for our preferred time. They were very helpful and welcoming. The design of the hotel is great making sure windows face the most stunning looks of the mountain. Breakfast featured a wide variety of foods, lasted till 10:00 and even better, nearly everything was local allowing you to taste Arosa and Switzerland. The hotel also got us an Arosa-card so you can make use out of the facilities in and around Arosa. The owner was most helpful and friendly as well, brilliant interaction and great advice on where to go.

We had a very basic room, which we chose so to speak. Maybe a fridge or an additional bit of painting would have been nice. Yet honestly, for the price we paid we had everything we desired.

Absolutely unique. An all stone and wood traditional Swiss mountain chalet, with stunning views and sensational food. Perfect for walkers, mountain bikers, visits to the bear sanctuary (the Stoffel gives you a free cable car pass) or anyone in need of fresh air and a pause from life in the valleys below.

Thank you for the great hospitality. The chalet and room were amazingly beautiful and the dinner excellent. Congratulations to the chef !

For a 10 out of 10, I would recommend to have more salted choices for breakfast (hams, boiled eggs…). Moreover the bed was unfortunately too soft and the covers too hot for summer, even though we slept with windows opened. At last, it would have been practical to have small bottles of water in the room (e.g., to take with us outside).

The property is truly beautiful, really cosy yet stylish. It’s located in a perfect position, close to the lifts and the hiking routes, away from the main town. Staying at the property was like a home away from home. All of the staff are exceptional. Completely faultless and we will definitely be back.

What a wonderful place to stay. Good room with access to the garden what comes in handy when you travel with a dog. Delicious breakfast with local products. The diner is recommended because it is perfect. The beautiful location of the hotel is ideal for a quiet stay.
