I stayed in Pen y Ghent pod with my wife and our dog. It is perfectly located at the start of Pen y Ghent, with the host there to show us round the pod. They have thought of everything!! Bowls for our dog, a tray inside to place your boots to dry out on the underfloor heating, an array of complimentary breakfast cereals, bread, butter, jam, marmalade, marmite, milk, fresh fruit and a choice of fruit juices!! Brilliant. A cooked breakfast is selected from a list the night before and brought to your pod at a time suited to you!! Amazing. The bed was really comfy, with towels, slippers and dressing gowns provided. A perfectly appointed shower room with piping hot water. The host was lovely, very welcoming we really enjoyed our stay. It’s a shame the local pubs are a little past their best but Settle is only a ten minutes drive for a broader range of nice places to eat, we tried the Thai which was excellent.

Not didn’t like but hooks outside under porch to hang very wet coats to dry plus a hose or watering can to wash off muddy dog would be an added bonus

My second time booking with Broad Croft House and both times have been outstanding. The owners are lovely and will bend over backwards to make sure your stay is as comfortable as can be. They are very thoughtful, and the facilities are great. They even have complimentary juices and fresh fruit and homemade cake for their guests. The hot breakfasts are lovely, and there is also a continental choice. They think of everything. I will highly recommend them to both family and friends. We will be booking with them again.

The location is ideal for walking the three peaks which was my reason for booking but I hadn't expected the stunning view from the cabin, the level of finish or all the extra touches. The shower is hot and powerful which is just what you need after a day walking in the rain and the breakfast is fantastic! I can't over state the welcome, absolutely wonderful

Fantastic character property created from a barn conversion, three excellent guest rooms, very high quality furniture, bedding and finish - en suite bathroom was sparkling clean. Very impressed by the welcome we received and detailed explanation of absolutely everything and the range of tea, coffee, cakes on arrival. The choices for breakfast surpassed this and we could not think of a single thing extra that was not readily available or offered by the hosts

Absolutely nothing

Such a well thought out and well equipped cabin for a small space, everything is thought of. We didn’t get to have a cooked breakfast as we were leaving early to hike the Y3P, however the continental breakfast which is set up and left in the cabin was beyond expectations with more than we had hoped for. Kitchen facilities are basic, but we had prepped a meal to take with us and reheat in the microwave - for dinner. There is a 2 ring hob, but these are not listed on the facilities and there are no pans provided - so I assume no longer intended for use. The bed was also extremely cosy!

Cabin was very cosy, with underfloor heating, but the bathroom was chilly. There’s a towel rail I couldn’t figure how to turn on. Not really an issue

We booked a weekend stay to fit around the 3 peaks challenge. The B&B is on the route, so we just had to walk out the door and turn right to start our walk! The flexible breakfast options allowed us to make the early start we needed on day 1 and have a leisurely morning on day 2. The hosts were very friendly, professional and efficient, and the room had everything we needed.

Walkers began passing the property from 4.30am, which made us feel our 6am start was a bit lazy! 🤣

Perfect location for the 3 peaks challenge. Lovely B&B. Rooms were tidy & clean. The beds and pillows were very very comfy. which were needed after hiking all day. The Host was friendly and extremely helpful. Slippers and robes were an extra bonus and the Easter chocolates on arrival went down well. Loved our stay here.

Nothing, it was perfect for us

The location is great if you're thinking of going up Pen-y-ghent or doing the Three Peaks. Our room was very comfortable and we appreciated the dressing gowns, the comfy bed, the welcome slices of cake and the great shower. It was also lovely to have access to the garden, to have such peace and quiet and for the great breakfast to be available up til 10.00am.

The owners were nice but quite low key and we thought they could perhaps have been a little more forthcoming and welcoming and perhaps a bit more generous with the coffee at breakfast.

Absolutely stunning B&B with gorgeous views. The owners, Marco and Jill are absolutely lovely and were beyond kind to us when we turned up late because our car broke down and then tried to help us find a tow home. Marco was incredibly helpful, showing us all the amenities and explaining breakfast to us for the morning as we were hiking the Yorkshire Three Peaks. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great, definitely needed after hiking. In the morning, breakfast was out early enough that we could eat and then go hiking and on our second day, we were cooked a wonderful breakfast too. It was an absolutely fabulous stay and if we are in the area again, we will most definitely be rebooking and will be recommending it to anyone we know as well. Thank you so much to Marco and Jill for a fantastic stay and for being so kind to us.

Nothing at all! It's a wonderful B&B; we had no complaints whatsoever.

Sympathetically restored building taking full advantage of natural environment. Obvious attraction paid to outdoor spaces with pleasing attention given to plant and animal life. Every detail of the accommodation appears to have been considered, including trays for muddy boots - the result of past experience? The room was comfortable with every need catered to and the toiletries smelt lovely! The breakfast selection was impressive and, even though I’m not a breakfast person, I could not resist the plate of delicious fresh fruit with yoghurt. A particularly nice treat was the lemon drizzle cake I found in my room on arrival. After a long journey in terrible traffic little comfort food was exactly what I needed to unwind - thank you.

There was nothing about the property that I did not like. I only wish I had booked for a little bit longer.
