The situation of the hotel is exceptional, on a small hillside above the small village. Parking is easy and our room just a short distance from the reception and bedroom, all on the flat. The hotel is small and of the Rural' type, so basic. However, our bedroom was clean and well cared for, had a built-in wardrobe with extra blankets and the beds were roomy and comfortable. The bathroom though basic is in keeping with the 'Rural' style, everything functional and clean lacking nothing. Outside there is a garden sun area, with an inviting pool, sun loungers and a BBQ enough for leisurely afternoons. We ate at the only restaurant in the village, owned by the family who also own the hotel. The meal we had was fine, plenty of choice, well cooked and presented and reasonably priced, it also filled quite quickly by local people which is always a good sign in any eating establishment. Breakfast was taken in the hotel. We were expecting a very basic simple continental breakfast. It turned out to be quite the opposite. Bread, jams, croissants, fruits, meats, cheeses, cakes (we were even offered cooked eggs) fresh coffee and tea. If we ever we pass this way again we would have no hesitation in coming to this hotel, next time for longer.

The bedroom lacked electrical wall sockets so charging phones could be a problem for some if staying for a while

Superb location - a short stroll from the village where you find the related pub/restaurant with good food and drinks at decent prices. Nice garden with great view. Very friendly owners, family-run.

If you really think you have to watch TV you might find the screen too small. - But really ... better watch the stars! Breakfast on the simple end in terms of choice, but what you get is good.

we absolutely enjoyed our stay here and all the staff were fantastic. they were so accommodating and nothing was too much. The room was spacious, clean and fresh. the shower was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious.

We only had one night and were the only people staying, however the room was clean , comfortable and well equiped. the breakfast was good and the resturant was also very good. Although we only stayed a short while a walk around showed good facilities and pleasent views

Everything was fine

The house was great, like a small hotel on the top of a small hill. The Swimmingpool was great and the view incredible. The room was large and you have fridge which we liked! Check out the partner restaurant at the bottom of the hill for a nice dinner or just some drinks. The breakfast is nice and you can eat inside or outside in the sun or in the shade. If you are lucky you get company from some cats :)

The only thing a bit weird was the toilette which was a bit unaccessible. If you have a car the last 500m to the top of the hotel are a bit bumpy on a dirtroad.

Friendly staff. Great breakfast, provided early so I could leave early. Lovely views. Quiet village. Nice pool. Peaceful and tranquil. Clean throughout. Delicious food at the restaurant in village run by the same owner.

The accommodation is a nicely furnished little complex with 6 rooms and 4 apartments on a small hill in the middle of the hills of the southern Alentejo. It is far from any hustle and bustle above a little village with just a few streets, a roundabout, a cafe and a simple grill restaurant. We were guests for two nights in the low season and partly the only ones in the accommodation. Humberto is a very friendly owner and took loving care of us. In the morning we had a simple breakfast in the well-kept garden by the swimming pool, in the evening we ate in his family's pub down by the roundabout, which is just waiting for traffic in the off-season. A rental car is mandatory to reach the accommodation and to make excursions during the day. We went on an extended hike at the nearby Santa Clara reservoir, which also has a small beach, on Humberto's recommendation. Other options would be mountain bike tours, all of which are well signposted in the area. Otherwise, there are neither large villages nor area-wide cell phone reception, which was just right for us! The accommodation itself has good wifi, by the way. Thanks for the hospitality, Humberto!

Hard to say, probably the mattresses. They would be perfect if a little bit stiffer.

Happy friendly people, fantastic swimming pool, rooms great. Excellent breakfast. Owners gave us a lift to a local restaurant and took us back.

Didn’t like the gravel road as we were on motorcycles. But don’t let this put you off staying. It’s a fantastic place.

Although we were 3 hours late for check-in, the hosts waited for us. The location is a bit remote, but therefore very special and worth a visit. Excellent breakfast.
