Beautiful area and Hotel Staff at front desk was very helpful when my tv wouldn’t work Lady came up and tried to fix it but couldn’t and promised to add points to my rewards account for the issue (IHG Rewards)

The fact that I was promised points because the tv wouldn’t work in my room not to mention the internet wasn’t working either. This trip was a gift from my kids and Husband for my Birthday that was on 2-7 and I arrived on 2-8 to go to Pretty Place Chapel on the 9th. I would like to bring my Husband to this location because of the beautiful mountains and waterfalls and the points would help towards staying at this Hotel again because Hotel stays for a weekend plus traveling from Sumter, SC is definitely not a cheap trip. This would be my only issue is being promised something from staff and not receiving what was promised.

I normally do not do reviews because people like different things. But this hotel has done everything right. For example, there is a place to put two suitcases and be able to open them, this is the first hotel that I have found with this. I know is small thing but important to me. Also, the lighting by the mirror in the bathroom was perfect, my wife was very excited about this. The breakfast was awesome. So please keep doing what you are doing. I will be looking to stay at your hotels more often. GREAT JOB!!!!

Nothing, everything was perfect!!

If possible, I prefer eating breakfast outside of the hotel and there was an excellent diner serving great Belgian waffles with fresh strawberries and whipped cream within walking distance. Cleanliness is very important to me and the room and hotel were very clean.

Two of the four pillows were feather and my husband is allergic to feathers. Fortunately, two of the pillows were not feathers, so we simply used those and set the feathers aside.

The exterior is nondescript but the rooms are really nice. They look plain and unimpressive online but they are much better in person. Someone really thought through what people want in a room. And while the property is three years old, the room looked brand new with all the latest trends. I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the rooms were.

The housekeeping staff were not friendly. I would repeatedly say hi and smile. They looked at me like I was crazy and they said nothing. They might not speak the language but they could have at least smiled!

Everyone was friendly and helpful from the staff checking us in to staff at breakfast service and beyond. The hotel was very clean. They did floors regularly and they seemed to stay on top of the supplies-pool towels, coffee station. Lobby and eating areas were inviting. Pool was immaculate-swam almost every day.

The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in a long time at any hotel. Everything tasted great, especially the gravy biscuits!

The room could’ve been better. We had a family of four with only 3 towels to start with so we had to go grab more. Then the faucet handle was broke and kept falling off each time you had to turn on water but at least it still worked so we didn’t report it. The trash bins were super tiny so we couldn’t really clean up after ourselves like we wanted to and had to end up leaving a lot of trash/boxes on the counters.

This is, BY FAR, the most efficient, clean and comfortable stay in Transylvania County, NC. We had a wonderful time, an exceptional stay, and always felt safe and welcomed. Oh, and not to mention that the "included breakfast" (with its many choices) was very hot and delicious! We would like to graciously thank the entire staff! We are DEFINITELY coming back one day, and this IS where we wil always l choose to stay!

There was not even the tiniest of things we didn't like about our stay; we loved every second of it!

The bed had bed bugs. I got bit all Over my body really bad. The manner of communication from the front desk staff is an unfriendly, unwelcoming & overtly casual. I called to confirm our booking will on our way there from South Carolina. “Yup” is the word I got from the front desk staff over the phone. They just need better training.

Location was good. We loved the cleanliness and comfort AND air conditioning. Shower pressure was great and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was ok. Limited options for vegetarians.

All was good but I forgot to inform staff that bathroom fan was not functioning. It got pretty steamy after a short shower.

on 5/27/23 I got caught in the rain on motorcycle in mountains and needed a place to stay. Made reservation out of desperation. The night check-in person was very friendly and gracious. The room was clean and comfortable. The next morning I wanted to hit the road before the 7am breakfast started. I saw someone in the hallway and we spoke about trying to beat the rain. The lady said she had breakfast prepared and would open the door so I could eat. This hotel and the staff excelled on every metric. I can only hope all of my hotel stays are close to this experience.
