It was mind-blowing to me in a most positive way that they don't spray their grass with chemicals, so my young children could safely run and crawl on the lawns. This is awesome, and there were not too many bugs as my husband thought! They also have a little organic farm, and source their restaurant with produce from there. Clean and tasty food, another awesome thing. I wish the eggs for breakfast would be made consistently with ghee butter instead of other inflammatory seed oils too.

The rooms are a bit outdated, but it's like visiting your grandma, so it's ok. Fewer chemicals around made me happy, so the rest didn't bother me at all.

We loved the mini lake where we took out the provided canoe and had a lovely sunset and morning paddle together! A bald eagle was hunting around and tons of lily pads. We also really appreciated the firepit being lit by the staff as we just happened upon it after one of the staff sweetly had started it and then took our paddles back to the office for us! The pool is clean and really all the fun amenities in a relaxed almost camp atmosphere.

Breakfast and Brunch (extra) were copious and delicious. Staff from the front desk to the restaurant are professional and pleasant. Beautiful ground with a lot of green spaces, peaceful lake (kayak provided), with a waterfall at the end of lake. It’s close to downtown Flat Rock (small and cute). Hendersonville is about 15 min and Asheville in 30 min. DuPont Recreational Forest has so many hiking trails leading to several gorgeous falls.

The Resort is Great place for a relaxing, quiet break. The Breakfast is Very Good. The staff very Friendly. The Primrose Suite is Really Nice! Worth the difference over a smaller room.

Really can't think of a dislike on stay.

I liked the spacious room and access to the large balcony. The breakfast at the Seasons Restaurant was quite impressive.

The one-way curvy roads leading to the service desk obscured the sign in process. Parking was available but limited.

It has everything you would want. The staff is super helpful. The accommodations are beautiful and you have several options from rustic cabins to elegant Home suites, be awesome Lodge rooms and game room.The lake, gardens, pool , fire pit, swings, hammocks and trails couldn’t be better. WE LOVE HIGHLAND LAKE RESORT AND SEASONS RESTAURANT. The food is incredible too.

We enjoyed staying at the Woodward house and we enjoyed walking around the grounds.

We didn’t like the fact the restaurant in the resort was closed two nights of the three nights of our stay. That was very disappointing.

The location was peaceful and beautiful. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our dinner at the restaurant was excellent.

The breakfast buffet was a nice setup with good variety but the sausage patty and pancakes were very tough. Everything else was good.

The facilities were stellar and very well maintained. The Seasons restaurant was excellent and the staff were absolutely Acrs.

Nothing; we wish we could have stayed longer.

It was a beautiful place. Convenient to what was needed. The restaurant was wonderful.

It was a little to close to traffic. Could here cars on the road at night.
