My first time in Jaisalmer was one of the most magical stays I have ever had in India! I I have traveled India far and wide and I must say if you haven't stayed at Hotel Murad haveli you haven't lived!!! My host Hasim is one of the warmest, kindest, most helpful hotel owners I have ever met and Jaisalmer is just beyond awesome! An ancient desert town ( the fort/palace was built in 1150's and is a MUST SEE. Rich in ancient Rajasthani history. Hotel Murad Haveli has very affordable, clean convenient dormatories. Also don't miss out on the best experience of your life which is the overnight camel safari in the desert...sleeping under the Milky Way. Never in my life have I seen so many stars!!! Amongst Rheam many talents and great qualities he is also an excellent cook. Come and enjoy any style of food at Murad Haveli Cafe.

Had the best stay in Jaisalmer. The host is super helpful, recommends you places to go around and helps you settle in. The environment is beautiful in the common open area, you can see the fort from there. Rooms and washrooms are clean and spacious. Restuarant food is mostly good.

My room was absolutely incredible beautiful, just like the photos on Booking.com. Very comfortable mattresses, not the usual rock hard things. The staff is very friendly and also offered free pickup from the bus station. After my stay they dropped me off as well. Excellent WiFi everywhere. Location is superb, very close to everything. Superb view of the fort from the rooftop restaurant. The rooftop also had lots of power outlets. The room and the attached bathroom was spotless clean, EXCEPT for one very essential thing.

For this price I expected clean bed. I mean not just visually clean, but clean linens between each GUEST! It shouldn't say balcony under room description unless it's a private balcony directly accessed from the room. Common balcony goes under hotel description. It says they do laundry, but they seemed very reluctant to do so, always 'tomorrow' and in the morning it was nobody to take it. It never happened. Also I wish it was a few proper tables and chairs on the terrace. Not everybody can sit curled up with their feet.

The hosts were very kind and helpful and went out of their way to ensure our comfort.. few things that I want to highlight about them- 1. They are extremely kind. They booked us taxis from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer and back. when we got stuck in Jaisalmer due to shifting of the Holi date, they let us check out at 1400 p.m. 2. They took us on an amazing natural desert safari on a 1.5 hour camel ride where no other tourist was present.. in an undisturbed part of the desert.. the most exquisite experience! the camel ride ended with tea and dinner in the desert camp under the stars! 3. They cooked us fresh food from scratch every time we ordered anything to eat! the food was always delicious and home cooked! 4. Their rooftop restaurant has an amazing view of the fort and ambiance!

We were a group of 3 girls and we planned our stay at Murad haveli based on the reviews. We reached Jaisalmer late night and were provided free transport to the hotel. We had booked dorms but we were upgraded to a private room with fort view at minimal cost. They also accommodated our dinner request and served us in no time. The rooftop restaurant serves nice coffee and breakfast with the great view of the fort. We also opted for the desert Safari (sleeping under the stars) which turned out to be great. The sunset, simple but amazing food and morning breakfast in the desert are worth. Mr. Hasim offered us a room for freshening up & resting since our bus was in the evening. The drivers, the camel guys and the staff in the hotel are very friendly and will definitely make sure that you have a comfortable stay. This is a very good option if you are looking for a great stay and do not want to hurt your pocket. Definitely coming back....

The hotel is really really nice. When we first reached Jaisalmer we had checked into another hotel. It was very bad(desert dream palace) Then we booked at Hotel Murad Haveli next day and we were blown away by the beautiful spacious room. Fort view. Balcony. We immediately checked into it. We had opted for breakfast also and we're so happy with the food. They have a terrace restaurant with a fort view where u can eat and enjoy the view. The staff is very polite and helpful. The bathroom is clean and well equipped. I would have added pics but not getting options to add but all pics that you are seeing from other reviews are true. Also the hotel is situated in good location. Not remote.

Centrally located but in a quiet side street the hotel offers a limited amount of small rooms and a dorm. Staff makes you feel at home as soon as you arrive, they were even waiting for me outside on the main street. Very fast wifi available with good signal strength, as there is a router placed on every floor. Veg restaurant with freshly made food available on the rooftop with excellent view of the Fort. On-site parking is very limited but there is a parking area nearby. Rooms are comfortably furnished.

Rooms are relatively small, little space to move around. Hot water was limited as the installed geyser has very small capacity. Close the tap after soaking then you’ll have hot water to rinse. Approximately half a bucket can be filled with hot water before you run out…They promised that geysers with a higher capacity would be installed in the near future.

Stayed there for a couple of says in which I did desert camping for one day.. it was super awesome that I did it with Murad Haveli team.... I traveled solo, so 1st day I walked and covered most of the main places in and around city, the next day on the way to desert camp, visited Khuldhara village. So you don't need to visit kuldhara separately if you are doing camping. The rate for camping was reasonable. Did Camel ride on the eve and the next day morning, for hours. Star gazing and sleeping in the desert under the sky, with homely food... and the best part is the owner, Mr. HASIM is so humble and helpful...he even dropped me at the railway station... which made me feel like I have been seen off by a brother... when ever I am traveling to Jaisalmer, this will be my place of stay!

An incredible place to stay for long periods! For someone who is working from anywhere, Murad Haveli went beyond my expectations. This was only because of the host - Hasim . Before I even reached, Hasim checked on me, ensured I get a nice deal in the auto to reach the hotel, reminded me to get some warm clothes, etc. He took me around the fort on his bike, took me to good spots, and ensured I had all I needed. Rahim Bhai makes fantastic food and will happily go beyond the menu also. Hasam even took me to his farm nearby (in the desert) where his family made an incredible feast in the middle of nowhere while we looked at the stars. He’s a delightful host and goes above and beyond in every way possible I stayed here for 6 nights - the food, the wifi, the view from the roof, and the services, all are incredible. Should definitely stay here.

One of the best places you could get to stay in Jaisalmer. I loved Jaisalmer because of its people, food and its architecture. The hospitality that we received here has no words to express. I am just grateful to have found this place. They have an amazing desert safari site. You get to do camel ride, desert bike and night safari. Special mention to Hasim bhai for the care and effort he took to make us feel comfortable. We requested for a photoshoot in the desert but no photographer was available, but Hasim bhai generously came along with us and took some great photos. That’s the distance they go to make their guests happy.
