What an absolute gem of a hotel we found here! This was my second trip to this region of spain, having learnt valuable lessons from my first venture I decided I wanted to be a little bit separated from the busyness of Barcelona but close enough to the action when I wanted to join in. We stayed on the 4th floor with a sea view terrace, and it was everything I could hope for. Directly overseeing the beach was perfect for an unobscurred view of the sunrise. As some have mentioned, it is a little outdated. However, all areas were kept clean and tidy, and with a view like ours, who cares if a couple of lampshades need updating! You get what you pay for and this hotel was an absolute bargain for such a central area of badalona that was a short (5/10 mins) walking distance to both train and metro stations, connecting you to all the hotspots of Barcelona within less than 20mins . Top tip: Invest in a Hola Travel Card on your first day (available to buy online or from a ticket machine within the station). For a 4 day travel card, it was only €30 and gave us access to metro and bus from, Montjuïc funicular, urban railway, trams, and Barcelona regional mainline trains . This made seeing several different sites each day easy and painless. Storytime: Unfortunately within an hour of us checking in a Major power cut effecting several different European countries occurred grinding most of Spain to a halt, planes, trains and buses all stopped (even taxis as no traffic lights were working) We hadn't had time to even find an ATM so we had no money whatsoever, unable to pay by card so we were looking at a very hungry day ahead of us... Cue Hotel Miramar to the rescue! The wonderful couple who ran the hotel, very kindly offered us €50 on faith alone to enable us to get some supplies to see us through and were only too happy to hand over light refreshments that they stocked too. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful in our interactions.

Pillows.. I'm not fussy but my girlfriend does like a couple of them. I'm sure if asked though they would have supplied us with additional but my girlfriend left it till the last day to make comment on it.

At this moment no food was included into the price, but it was not a problem, bacause of the locaion of the hotel - lot's of markets, lot's of restaurants around - only in 1 to 5 minutes walking on foot. The beach is located straight against the hotel - as it in the pictures! The train stop (every 15 min) is 5 - 10 minutes of food walk; the train takes you to the heart of Barcelona for 3-4 stops, which takes 15-20 minutes (more, or less). In a few words - the staff, the location, the hotel were PERFECT!

This small, clean and friendly hotel has lovely sea views and is convenient for everything Badalona has to offer. My room had air conditioning, double glazing and blackout curtains to ensure a good night's sleep. The bed was comfortable. There is a coffee machine downstairs, perfect if you need that early morning cuppa! There are loads of cafés nearby; try a really good little coffee shop called Amauta and also Bertran which is a great bakery. Travel from here into Barcelona is really easy, cheap and quick, either on the train or the metro. This is my second stay at Hotel Miramar and I will definitely be staying here again.

Was a great location, took the Rodalies from the airport to Badalona. Each day it was just a short walk to the metro or rodalies station which take you into Barcelona. There are lots of shops, cafes and restaurants close by. The beach is the other side of the promenade. I felt safe and it was a beautiful and relaxing location. The hotel was good and the staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful. I chose a balcony room so that I could sit out and enjoy the ambience of the area. After a day of sightseeing in amongst the crowds of Barcelona it was nice to come back and just relax by the sea.

The hotel is nice, rooms just need a little bit of TLC. The trains pass by frequently but they stop during the night. I took ear plugs anyway because all hotels are noisy. There's no breakfast but there is a cafe/bakery just along the street.

The hotel is very close to the beach, the many bars and restaurants and only a short walk to the train station to get into Barcelona. The bed in my room was really comfortable; the bedding and towels were clean. The shower was good with very hot water. At the time of my visit (April) no breakfast was available but there's a coffee pod machine in the foyer for guests to use (for a small charge) and there are cafes and bakeries nearby.

The area is very busy and noisy at night and also the train tracks are close by, however some rooms have double glazing (mine was partly missing!) The lift is creaky and only fits 1 person.

I loved how every day when I come back to my room after a long day of training. My bed was always made, always had fresh towels, room cleaned daily. Was only a short walk to the train station. It was perfect for what I needed. My room was a little small but that was ok as I was a solo traveller. Tv was digital so I could log onto my Netflix account and watch what I wanted. It wasn’t one of them cards to open your door and when you pull it out turns electric off. So I could leave my devices charging whilst out all day also leave aircon on so had a nice cool room to go home to.

- it's great value, during my booking it was one of the cheapest hotels in Barcelona, and for that money you get a decent room, great sea view from a building staying at 1st line and a good public transportation. - metro and railway station are 15 min walk from hotel, both will take you to Barcelona city center in 30-40 min. Getting to the airport took 1h 20 min with 1 train change. - Badalona turned out to be a great tourist area - a lot of cafes and shops, very lively street that keeps buzzing till late night, good public beach. You can easily spend there couple days without a need to go to Barcelona center. - the staff is friendly and helpful - many thanks to sweet lady from reception - the windows are thick and isolate sound very well - when window is closed, there was almost no noise from a railway in front of the building. As a result I could sleep well. - the room is okay - small but you have everything you need, also bathroom is great - clean and looks new.

- if you are sensitive to neighbor noises, this might be not your option. The walls are really thin plus doors between the rooms don't help. Sounds of a woman having s.e.x. in next room were abnormal, her screaming for 40 min almost as if she was in my room. - mini-fridge didn't work, but reception manager kindly offered to use their fridge, so that was not a problem.

The hotel was great! The staff was super friendly and treated us very friendly and fulfilled our extra wishes, for example when we asked for second pillows. They gave recommendations and tips for travelling around, where too eat etc. You can borrow an umbrella and towels for the beach for free at the reception. The beach is only one minute walking from the hotel. We definitely recommend the rooms with ocean-view as we fall asleep to the sound of the ocean every night. The rooms are fantastic: Air Conditioner, fridge, big shelves to put all our stuff. The Bathroom is newly renovated. We will definitely come again!

Very nice and cozy apartment right in front of the beach. The room and the bathroom were clean, and big enough for the 2 of us. We had a nice view to the sea. The neighborhood was calm and safe, we could sleep with the window open. The bed and the pillows were super comfortable!! Probably the most comfortable ones I have ever got during holidays. The staff were very nice and helpful. Badalona is only 15-20mins by train from the center of Barcelona. We enjoyed our stay a lot and we are glad that we choose this apartment, I can recommend for everyone who wants good quality for great price!! ❤️

The hotel is on the sea side; good transport links (tube and train) to Barcelona and also to other seaside towns. The hola Barcelona card can be used to travel between Badalona and BCN. This was my third visit and last time I was thinking that a small fridge would be handy and I was pleased to see that the room was equipped with one since my last visit (November last year) The staff members are very nice; polite; efficient. The hotel is very clean; the bed is comfortable; there is air conditioning in the room. There are several bars; cafes close by. The atmosphere is very nice and lively.

There is nothing I don’t like about this hotel. Some people would probably be put off by the fact that they don’t serve breakfast but there are several places within a few minutes walking distance. For the Brits; there is no kettle in the room…
