This place is very conveniently located close to the Cascade Market, the Thunder Brewing Company, and the Bus stop in Cascade Locks. It is also very close to the Pacific Crest Trail and the Bridge of the Gods and about 15 minutes from Multnomah Falls. I did not bring a car and I used the infrequent public transport to get around Cascade Locks and Stevenson. The person at the desk was very friendly and helpful and gave me a ride (for a nominal fee) to Stevenson whenever I requested. This was very helpful since there are no cabs in the area. Otherwise, I would walk across the Bridge of the Gods into Stevenson. The other convenient part of the lodge is the microwave in the room. Overall, it worked out great for the week I spent here.

We stopped for a layover because the rains and traffic in Portland was stressful. The desk clerk was so kind, accommodating, and thoughtful. His understanding that my husband was just out of the hospital prompted him to get us a step stool for the high bed. I will never forget the hospitality we received. Excellent 👌👍

It was cold when we got there, and it took a while to warm the room. I understand though. Everyone has to conserve energy in this economy.

Owner was so nice and helpful! Lost my keys at a wedding and he was there to let me in when I got back. I ended up booking two different rooms due to last minute plans on different booking sites and they let me jsut stay in the same room. Owner was available to text. WiFi was good. Bedding was good- they have great art. Location was super close to skamania lodge and more affordable.

Very convenient, clean, nice family managed, quiet, simple but worked. Great value. I always request upstairs to help with room noise.

The air conditioning was comfortable but left everything damp, had to take off bedspread and pillows on second night. Maybe the filter needs changed or leave the bedroom window open a bit, but that would bring in bugs, because there were no screens.

It's well located for easy walking within Cascade Locks. The usual hotel amenities worked well. You have guest laundry after 6pm. There is a language barrier with the staff but once they understand they are very helpful.

The bathroom is European style meaning there is a flat floor (no lip) between the shower and toilet. Once you shower the entire floor is wet. Not exactly nice if you have to use the toilet later.

Staff was amazing! Location is excellent. Right within walking distance of anything you may need I.e. grocery store, restaurants, breweries, hikes.

It’s a bit outdated but if you’re just needing a place to crash and would rather explore this shouldn’t matter. It was clean and everyone was so nice!

The bed was very comfy and the room was spacious. The air conditioner worked great and kept our room very comfortable.

The bathroom was interesting. The shower and toilet were together. Ingenious idea, but with only a shower curtain between the two, it was cramped in the shower. If the bathroom was just 2 feet wider, it would create more room in the shower.

Room was large, with a couch to sit and watch television. Television screen was large.

Odd design for bathroom. There was no tub or shower enclosure. The entire bathroom was tiled (like a shower) with a curtain separating the toilet from the shower fixtures. A 1 inch ledge at the doorway prevented water from flowing under the doir.

I was able to check in early, which was super helpful. Staff was very nice and the room was clean. Within minutes of numerous attractions, but the biggest positive is that I felt very safe being a solo traveler. Thanks!

Don't judge a book by its cover! Doesn't look so good on the outside but inside was a different story! Room was great, clean, up to date and they had free laundry! A thru hiker couldn't ask for anything better.

Outside the inn does not look good which could scare people off. 1st impressions is everything.
