The room was lovely, the staff divine, and the amenities almost flawless. I enjoyed top notch service and was thankful for the array of snacks available when I learned, the hard way, how food becomes scarce at 11 pm in Hood River.

While I find the facilities safe and secure, I travel for work with some very important items and rely heavily, albeit possibly foolishly, on the use of an in-room safe for a little extra peace of mind. My room's safe didn't work. Pushed a button and the keypad would light up but no beeps - unable to lock up my stuff. Also the parking situation was a little frustrating. Doesn't seem to be enough on a full house night. Despite these little things, we had a lovely stay.

Super friendly and helpful staff. The location was incredibly convenient. We weren't concerned with getting a hotel with a view, so this location worked great for us since we just needed a place to unwind and sleep after running around. The room was really clean, and the amenities were great, too. The breakfast stations were spaced out nicely to prevent too much queueing. Hot and fresh cinnamon rolls. Good juice options. Decaf options. I didn't use the pool, but it looked well maintained, and people were enjoying it. Items I've only seen in higher end hotels: Firm and soft pillow option at room and labeled! Shower caps! Liquid hand soap in the room (no gloopy bar!). Toiletries were wall mounted in tamper-proof holders. They use Dove brand products. Plenty of towels and a labeled makeup washcloth.

Not deal breakers: Parking in the evening was tricky at times. Housekeeping staff talked too loud early in the morning for those of us who had late nights. Speaking of which, It would be nice if breakfast ended a little later than 9:30. The "cheese" omelet seemed like it was made with cheese whiz, so a little off-putting to me, but others may like it. Some of the bread and muffin options weren't labeled so it was hard to know what you were getting or if it included any allergens.

Pets (dogs) In the hotel very noisy dogs are really a liability for motels , and most guests are irritated by them please tell dog owners to be respectful in the future would be nice thank you !

I liked the cleanliness, comfort and look of the room. I appreciated the full breakfast, not just continental breakfast, as part of the cost of the room. It was very affordable.

My only issue was seating availability for myself and friend during breakfast. We had to sit on tall chairs at a small table which was a little difficult for us because of physical limitations.

Fantastic breakfast! Great fitness room. Most of the staff was very friendly. Great value, large room, comfy beds.

The cleaning staff doesn't knock when they come to clean!! (And on the flip side, we got yelled at when we entered our room at 4pm, which was check in time, because they were still cleaning!!) Location was not amazing, but was fine....

Standard Holiday Inn Express experience. Clean, comfortable, quiet, decent breakfast. Nice Staff. We actually used the Jacuzzi which we 100% normally do not do as it appeared very clean and well maintained. We needed it after doing a lot of hiking that day and it felt so good!

Everything was what I expected/needed

Came to the desk needing a key to my room. A couple was checking in and chatting with the desk clerks. There were 2 employees at the desk. I waited for quite some and was not even acknowledged so after what seemed like a long time (several conversation topics between the couple and clerks) I left without a key. There were 2 clerks. And, 2 customers-the couple checking in and ….

Clean and smells good. The entire building is clean. Staff is amazing. Helpful. I most certainly would stay here every single time when we come ski. We drove an hour to ski bowl but the drive was so worth it. One road up to the mountain. The scenery was phenomenal. God's work never fails.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. While not in the heart of downtown, or directly on the river, the hotel is very accessible to all that Hood River, the Gorge, and Mt. Hood have to offer. The rooms were clean, spacious, comfortable and well outfitted with appliances, charging ports, and hygiene supplies. The common areas were bright and clean. The fitness room was small but the equipment was high quality. The breakfast offered many more options than I expected, and all the options were available whether I came down at 6:30 am or 9:15 am. There were multiple teas and good strong coffee available all day. I didn't use the pool, but families definitely seemed to be enjoying it. For the price, it would be hard to beat this experience.

Great facility, staff, and restaurant recommendations. The staff at the front desk was amazingly courteous and helpful. Lovely interchange. We would go back just because of her--so friendly!
