The lady that checked in, couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant.

When I asked for a ground floor room, she said they were all booked and yet the parking lot was almost empty and she said they were probably out for dinner. And yet when I got up at 5:30 AM, there was very few cars in the parking lot so I questioned that all the ground floor rooms were Already taken. It’s the first time I stayed in a hotel with a in room coffee maker that only had one package of coffee and that was a disappointment. The shower didn’t drain very well so when I finished, I was standing in about three or 4 inches of water, which to me was very unsanitary. Other than that, the room was absolutely fine.

I think the nightly rate was way way out of line for this Motel. $259 per night for just simply a room (no other amenities) compared to Best Western Plus rate $350, only two miles distance away which offers rooms with river view and balcony and exercise room and swimming pool and on-site restaurant and bar plus beautiful sitting/relaxing spots throughout the property with view of river and walking path far exceeds what Sunset has to offer for only $100. additional. I think Sunsets rates are way to high for what it has to offer.

This is a basic, independent, small town motel. The rooms were quiet. The rooms were not spacious, but there was ample space to move around. The bathroom was relatively large, and had been recently and nicely renovated. There were the usual amenities - fridge, flat-screen tv, dresser, closet, iron. The location is convenient for freeway access, but NOT for walking through the historical downtown of Hood River, which is a couple of miles away. Hood River is a lovely town to visit for quirky shops and restaurants.

There does not appear to be an elevator (?) to the second floor, so you will have to carry your luggage up to the second floor.

The price couldn’t have been better! The staff were incredibly friendly, polite, and accommodating. The rooms were clean and although they were simple, they were centrally located next to Safeway, Starbucks, and several fast food places within walking distance. The hotel is somewhat outdated, but it was a comfortable place to stay and we would stay again without hesitation.

Property was clean, quiet and had lots of parking. The rooms were comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. It was quiet, we didn’t hear anything from other guests, despite a packed parking lot. We traveled with two young children, 3 and 1 and they were fine. Short drive to the river, shops and restaurants. An hour drive to hiking on Mt.Hood. We stayed two nights and we would stay here again.

Nothing. Met our expectations.

Definitely a no frills motel, but it was close to everything, safe, and had well kept grounds. Gentleman at the front desk was quick and efficient. Everything you’d expect from a simple motel. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Definitely can see signs of aging, but it’s apparent they have tried to keep it updated and modern.

Wish there was something offered for breakfast, for the price. Did have a couple sugar ants in our room upon arrival but could be because we were on the ground floor.

We stayed for just one night on our trip to Hood River. For the price I was very happy with our accommodation. The room was clean and had everything that I would expect. We've stayed at other hotels in the area and I would easily come back here. About a mile from downtown and easy access to several great wineries in the area.

I didn't have any complaints for this trip!

It allowed us a one night stay during summer tourist season.

Room was very small. Bathroom clean but needed to be upgraded. We were greeted at the door by a sign that said check in at 4 check out at 11. The same sign greeted us in the lobby. No staff anywhere until we came back to check-in at 4. Really not conducive to a good feel about the place.

This little motel was very clean, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. it was well lit and the location was quiet and set back from any road noise. seamless WiFi and decent basic cable.

This is an older motel, despite its makeover, so it has a loud, intermittent room heater. As a very light sleeper, it made it a little hard to sleep; most people would likely sleep through it. while I found the front desk staff courteous, my husband was a bit frustrated by the lack of a working ice machine and the staff’s attitude toward his request for ice.

Rooms were cute and new looking. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, staff were friendly. Rooms were quiet too. A family with kids were next door and I could not hear them. Rooms have fridges, microwave, TV, hair dryers, an iron, shampoo/body wash. Also energy efficient, you use your key card to keep main lights on, but there are side lamps with charger plugs. Near amenities too. (pet friendly rooms too). I thought it was nice they called a couple days before to verify my reservation and see if I needed anything.

The only thing I didn’t like was to me the heater/ac was louder than I expected but I am a light sleeper.
