A lovely hotel in a gorgeous historic building with well-preserved features. Cozy rooms, excellent shower. Warm and attentive service and hospitality. The breakfast selection is large and everything is fresh and high-quality (the orange juice is freshly squeezed — a treat!). The location is perfect, right on the main square of the old town, which has several charming restaurants and cafés. Unfortunately, the beautiful square is currently under reconstruction… a bit of a bummer.

Two small notes — the air conditioning was fixed to heating mode in late April, which meant sleeping with the windows open. The mattress was a bit too soft for my taste… but these are really minor issues.

This was a return visit from a previous year. It's in a very nice little community with easy access and pretty good street parking in easy walking distance. It's an easy walk down to the lake with very good walking and benches to watch the water, walkers, and fishermen. Breakfast has a good variety and nice tables inside and outside. Stairs only to rooms and breakfast. Good beds and linens.

The little park was being completely redone and messed up the square, but it is making good progress toward completion.

Everything. The rooms are lovely, great beds. The breakfast is excellent. The staff were friendly, helpful and went beyond the call of duty. My husband is from Kastoria. They provided special Kastorian pie just for him. The location is great, just steps from 2 excellent tavernas. The lake and a lovely cafe are just 5 mins walk away. This is our second stay at the hotel. We will go back next time we are in Kastoria.

The Orologopoulos Mansion is a luxurious hotel housed in a 200-year-old building, offering a unique sense of history and charm. The restaurant and rooms are beautifully designed, preserving the building's character. The location is excellent for exploring the city. However, what we truly appreciated most was the staff—their politeness and dedication to enhancing our stay, making it truly special.

We liked everything but if I needed to say something I would suggest to replace the towels :)

Beautifully restored 19th century mansion in the picturesque "Doltso" (Old town), 100 m from the lake. Large comfortable rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Varied and plentiful breakfast. Easy parking next to the hotel.

No lift - you have to carry your luggage up 1 or 2 floors; the staff are very prompt to help but still... No drawers or shelves to put your stuff. No safe in the room.

Beautiful light airy rooms with several windows. The hotel is in a quiet area but with so much to see and do. The warm hospitality of Vasiliki and her husband is exceptional. They were so helpful with advice and recommendations. The laundry service is excellent also. We had a very comfortable stay in this lovely city.

Because it is a heritage building there are steps- not suitable for the mobility impaired.

The location is in a very nice neighborhood on a delightful square with 4 cafes / restaurants. The staff was excellent. The hotel’s location is a 20-30 minute walk to the Cave Of Dragons ( a must see) and about the same distance in the other direction to the city center. There are several cafes and restaurants along the lakefront on the way between the hotel and the city center. The Museum of Macedonian Struggle is on the same square as the hotel and the excellent Folklore Museum is less than a 5 minute walk. The mansion is beautiful on the outside, exactly as shown in the photos. Our room and clean and comfortable. The breakfast spread was great, a nice assortment and they had a very lovely outdoor seating area as well as indoors for enjoying breakfast. There is free street parking around the hotel and we had no trouble finding an open space.

We didn’t like that there was an area directly in front of our door #24 that looked to be at one time a public seating area but is now used for housekeeping storage with a folded bed being stored there full time, and on occasion other housekeeping items. We would not expect these items to be constantly in public view in a luxury property. If it is going to be a utility area perhaps building a walk to separate it from the public area would be an easy solution. TV in the room is very very small. The good things at this hotel certainly outweigh the bad. We had a great stay and would be happy to stay there again.

The staff are extremely nice and helpful. The style of the property in very traditional and extremely clean.

The breakfast does not meet the standards is a 4 star hotel. There is no lift to the upper store, but maybe this is due to the fact that the building is traditional.

Location was great. Next to main square and lake with many tavernas nearby. Room was comfortable ,clean and everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfasts were superb and we ate outside. Overall great base for exploring the area. Staff always available and friendly

The property was beautiful better than the photos, it’s close enough to walk to town and located in the old town with a lovely square which a great cafe and restaurants to eat. Oh the staff were great and very helpful and the breakfast was good too.

The room for our older kids was upstairs, ideally they’d be near us but understand logisticaly that might not be possible. Their air-conditioner didn’t work well so had it been a hot day it would have been uncomfortable.
