Lovely Art Deco hotel which has retained many of its original features; lovely stained glass windows and the original sweeping staircase. Our room was large and airy with two large windows. There was air conditioning There is a secure garage with this hotel but unfortunately it was full when we were staying, however there is a driveway which is relatively hidden from the main road. The young lady at the Reception was friendly, welcoming and spoke excellent English.

Be aware that it is a bit of a walk into the main town, but is very close to the railway station Terrible WiFi in our room: it was either very difficult to connect or it timed out after 5 minutes.

The location, the free parking, the restaurant accessibility on Saturday night, the staff - particularly the restaurant waitress on 11 October. She was helpful, friendly and very efficient. Dinner was very good

The decor and furnishings in the bedroom and public areas were rather tired and didn't do justice to the building. The dining room decor was better. A bit of a shame really as the building and original features (eg staircase and windows) are lovely and the hotel could be quite special with a bit of refurbishment.

The building is picturesque and convenient for the train station. The staff were helpful and provided an extension cord for a medical device. The dinners and breakfasts (we took the demi-pension scheme) were well prepared and presented, with a decent wine list.

The rooms were spartan and not well provided with electrical outlets. Like other French hotels in the fall, full heating was not provided. There were not enough clothes hangers available.

We had a room with a lounge area as well as a bedroom. Both rooms and the bathroom were spacious with high ceilings, typical of this age of hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the staff were excellent. There was free on-site parking but with limited spaces.

There were two reasonable sized fitted wardrobes for hanging clothes but not a drawer to be found anywhere for small item storage. The rooms were very clean but there was evidence of significant wear and tear (stains on walls and marks on carpets) in the room and indeed throughout the hotel.

The faded grandeur can initially be off putting but the hotel has character and atmosphere lacking in modern hotels. Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast minimal French style but cheap. Clean comfortable quiet room with good en-suite facilities, best night of my trip

The presentation of the hotel from the small but free car park does not recommend it. The carpet throughout shows its age, but get past these elements and the hotel is very comfortable

The hotel is an exceptional example of an early 20th century railway-adjacent grand hotel which has maintained many original art nouveau period features. It is still run by descendants of the original owners, and the staff are clearly proud of the hotel and are very obliging and welcoming. We enjoyed an excellent dinner in the grand dining room. Our large, sunny room was also of the period, renovated to provide modern conveniences. We were able to park for free on street, outside our bedroom window.

Wi-Fi connection in the room was unstable. Our room had no shower, only a bath with hose-tap. It lacked a handrail to assist guests to get in and out of the bath safely. Next time I would ask for a room with shower.

Ideally situated by the train station, it is only a few minutes walk into the town. A beautiful old building with many original features. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Rooms are very spacious and apparently all different. The bathroom was also large with authentic fittings.

Unfortunately although the bathroom was big, beautiful and completely original it was not easy to get in and out of. Ours was very deep and we struggled. The bed also was not the most comfortable.

The decor of the hotel is all in the Art Deco style right down to the tableware - we loved this. Staff were helpful. The location is very convenient for the station, also just a short walk to what seemed to be the main area for shops and restaurants. We missed it completely but the old historic part of town is also very close by - turn left out of the hotel (we turned right!). Small parking area.

Restaurant was closed on Sunday evening (but they provided suggestions. We actually found a lovely little place serving the best tagines). One slight disappointment. We were asked to upgrade our room as only certain rooms take dogs, but the one we got was not as per the photographs for this category. It was absolutely fine but didn't have the roll-top bath and lovely tiles which are pictured.

Nice historical hotel. staff really nice. ,,10 min walk to famous bridge..5 min from train station. room quiet despite closeness of station. no lift and hotel at top of hill . 15 min walk to other end where gardens are. Bed comfortable, water pressure good. wood floors in room so you will hear others walking above you, but it's 100 year old place. breakfast good, did not try on site bistro as it's closed Sundays.

Lovely old world hotel. The receptionist went out of his way to assist with parking our car and also offered to move our friends room to be next to us. We had a lovely breakfast in the lounge. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning next time we come to Cahors
