It’s a stunning location, a proper fairytale castle. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the shower really nice. We had lovely views from our window too. We had dinner at the restaurant, eating outdoors, which was really lovely.
Our room overlooked the gardens where people were eating al fresco. Unfortunately, some guests were really noisy and didn’t leave until midnight, so it was impossible for us to go to sleep until they did. Breakfast wasn’t amazing, there was a decent choice but no cooked breakfast or proper coffee, just a flask.

An amazing stay in a French Chateau. Stunning views of the surrounding countryside from the terrace and gardens. Our bedroom wasn't huge but very, very pretty and chic. The entire building was very impressive, beautifully furnished in an historic style. We enjoyed our lovely evening meal in a fabulous dining room. Breakfast was tasty. Our host was so welcoming, we appreciated her perfect English. It was great to be able to park our motorcycle securely under cover within the chateau walls.

The chef in the evening, who also handled the check-in due to a shortage of staff, was very friendly and helpful. The dinner was very good, although the waitress could have needed more help from another person. The treatment with our dog was very friendly. Very nice british guests too. The history of the hotel is interesting. We had a very good room. Do not take standard rooms but supreme rooms in the first floor and you will be glad. The dinner menue is 59 Euros at least, reservation needed.
The morning service staff were completely disengaged and did not look after their guests. Boiled eggs were available on request after 20 minutes preparing time. Then we were given 8 cooked eggs on the table in a basket! No egg holders ... We then returned 6 of these eggs to the buffet. There was no honey for breakfast. The rubber seals in the showers urgently need replacing due to dirt and mould. The water basin in the garden was no longer attractive. The standing water should be replaced by moving water and should be changed and cleaned more often. The atmosphere in the hotel was a little strange as there was not enough staff on site.

We loved the history, charm and authenticity of this hotel, as well as it’s superb location set on top of a hill, with 280 degree panoramic views across the countryside for as far as 53km into the distance. Very peaceful, stunning views and a lovely authentic French chateau experience. I should add we slept really well, and the shower was lovely.
Nothing, but be aware there are no lifts and this is a historic building so expect a few creaks here and there.

Such an amazing chateau. The building was steeped with history and was simply beautiful. As you step through the gates you really can appreciate the grandeur of the chateau. The owners were very welcoming and couldn't do more for us. We ate at the restaurant which was more expensive than we're used to but delicious. The room was a bit dated and wasn't quite as spectacular as the rest of the building, but it was one of their more affordable rooms so couldn't complain. We would definitely recommend this chateau.
Room was a bit dated but a great size and had a roll top bath.

Amazing place to stay. You have to leave your vehicles outside the walls and then ring a bell to be "admitted" through the gate. But once through the gate ....Wow. Like a fairytale spot to be fair. Lovely (especially if you're with someone special....I wasn't ☹️)
To be fair my " upgraded room was a little "smaller" than expected, without all the listed facilities it was supposed to have. But I didn't really need a desk so it really wasn't an issue ...

Just a beautiful spot looking over a spectacular countryside
There was a great sense of history there. Even though it was end of season, the peaceful nature of the countryside was really wonderful. We will be back. Our host, Fabien, went above and beyond to make us welcome and give us great local knowledge of what to see. His enthusiasm in explaining the history of the property was great to behold. He filled in as the Chef for the evening and served us a truly memorable meal. We loved our stay

a deep appreciation for nature and the historical beauty of castles, perhaps evoking a sense of nostalgia. There’s something truly special about walking through the woods, surrounded by the tranquility of nature, and stumbling upon a majestic castle that has stood the test of time. The combination of nature and history creates a serene and timeless experience, allowing one to connect with the past while enjoying the present. It’s beautiful indeed, a perfect blend of peace, beauty, and a touch of the past.

A beautiful castle in a magnificent setting on top of a hill next to a quaint village. The building is very well kept and is furnished with period furniture. We stayed in a lovely room in a tower. Dinner was excellent and the breakfast was continental, but very good quality food.
The heating system was a bit noisy as it was very old, but I was glad it was in keeping with the age of the place

Wonderful place - a truly unique experience ! We booked the suite which was very comfortable , beautiful room and large bathroom. We had dinner int he castle , excellent service, the lady who took care of us was very polite and knowledgeable regarding wine and food. Beautiful experience as we travel with out dog, not many places like this accept pets, but here the director was very sweet and allowed us to enjoy our stay with our furry friend :) Definitely recommended!!
