We appreciated the art nouveau style which was present in every part of the hotel from the lobby and the dining area to the hallway and the rooms. The rooms were large and airy with a comfortable bed and sitting area, as well as a delicate bathroom. The service was very accommodating and we were upgraded free of charge. The location vis-a-vis the old town is perfect, just around the corner.

Although we were delighted that the hotel offered air condition, the cold air was directed straight towards the bed which made our nigh a cold experience.

no ceiling lights, you have to get along with the individual small lights near sofa and desk. OK on a bright summer day, might be a bit dull in winter no shower, but a bath-tub with a hand-shower. No shower curtain, so be careful where you splash the water... breakfast quality does not match the stylishness of the art-deco salon.

I am travelling to Hradec Kralove regularly for business and have tried many hotels. Okresni Dum is probably the best value for money. Pretty good location, nice interior with some of the largest hotel rooms in the city and very helpful staff. If you travel by car, this hotel has the largest private parking in comparison with other hotels in the city centre.

Lower acoustic comfort of the rooms. Seems that weak points are entrance doors to the rooms without thresholds, so there is a noise from the walkways.

The hotel is with an unique architecture and atmosphere, a gem within Hradec Kralove, which is already a gembox of architecture. We got a surprise upgrade to the presidential suite, which was just breathtaking. The breakfast is excellent.

The suite had a custom shaped bed with custom mattress - I'd guess it is harder to replace because it was fairly run down. Front desk was a bit sour that we moved the sofa to be able to watch TV - a bit of a Czech hospitality.

Breakfast was good, room was clean and we were handled wifi password when we checked in.

There was no information (in the website) that to use hotel's parking I have to pay for it, so I was a bit surprised when I returned keys to my room. There was only information about a fee of 3,40 euro, but we paid 300Kc, so more than that. I'm not sure if that was on purpose or not, in the morning hotel wifi was unreachable. So if that was on purpose, it would be good to inform guests about that on website and when they are checking in.

Location is great in the city. Hotel was clean, quiet and nice. Breakfast was rich containing selection from salty, sweet and cereal selection. Bathroom was clean as well as the bed.

There was no noise from the street, though the door were not soundproof, thus speach on the corridor was heard. I would also appreciate bigger containers with soap, ..., instead of small bottles.

We loved the size of room it also had a mini fridge in deluxe room which was upgraded from standard due to bad experience in hotel cernigov this hotel was very acommodating and staff in reception and restaurant were very friendly and also spoke english which made us feel at ease highly recommend this hotel

To be honest we have nothing negative to say about this hotel

I appreciated the significant room upgrade for a start, having a much larger room. A very well located hotel in Hradec Kralove, with clearly a history. It compares equally well with others I have stayed in, in this city. Could not be more convenient for the bus stop. Easy walking to restaurants nearby. Had a nice time overall

The location of hotel is super, right at the historical centre. Hotel is cute and cozy. Room was super clean. I would like to highlight especially hotel staff, all employees of the hotel were very nice and polite, super helpful, answered all questions related to accommodation, breakfast, check-in and check out. Breakfast was over all expectations, a lot of choices for everyone. I strongly recommend this hotel in the heart of Hradec Králové.

Our room got upgraded to deluxe without any charges, which was a pleasant surprise. The receptionist was absolutely lovely, allowing us to check in early and making sure our room was prepared as we asked - which was two separate beds as we were two colleagues traveling. Great location, close to a bus station and a cute café.
