My wife and I started coming to the Amsterdam Manor hotel almost 20 years ago and this was probably our sixth visit. The hotel and staff and facilities are excellent, but the beach is getting too crowded.

The beach used by the hotel is getting too crowded. The trend over the years has been to reserve a spot under the tiki shelters early in the morning. Typically if you did that by 7AM, you could get a good spot. This past visit, that was not early enough. Who wants to walk to the beach at 6AM to reserve a spot and then find that no one actually starts to use those spots until about 10AM…

The hotel is located in the middle of the town and the other hotels which are located futher up the road. I walked it in the morning for exercise, a bus is 2 dollars round trip. The beach was nice and the location was away from the busyness of the other hotels. The proeprty was quite. The beach is across the road, just be careful crossing they drive in the US, someone did get hit. There is a huge gocery store just down the road and the room has everyting but a oven. Everytime I had two drinks and dinner it was at least $62-65, after a week that adds up. But the all inclusions cost at least $6200.00 for the same time period. The hotel is only 2 stories its a small but extermially nice hotel. The pool with a waterfall was never ful and it was high season but the rooms were filled. The bar on the beach usaully had people but after 2 drinks they departed the drinks where just to much cost.

The drinks are expensvise, in the gorcery store they are &2.50 but at the bar they are $9. No Happy hour. But if you take a walk about 100 yards down the road a hotel with a Happy hour. One other thing cannot pay with cash MUST be by credit card for everything

The only thing we'd say was a bit annoying was the smell of the sewer treatment plant nearby. I understand that the property has recently had some success in getting this addressed with the local authorities so hopefully this is a non-issue soon. Otherwise this is a perfect place to stay!!

Everything! The location is perfect, right across the street from beautiful Eagle Beach & a walking/running path. The bed was comfortable. We had a small kitchen and a sizeable dining room table, which we used for breakfasts and lunches. Everything was super clean, and the appliances were great.

Sometimes smell would come in from the water treatment plant nearby, but it is not the hotel fault

The location can't be beat. Eagle Beach is lovely, and having two on-site restaurants means you can easily have a lazy, resort-centered vacation. The apartment (1 br, small kitchen) was spotless and the kitchen well-equipped enough to cook breakfast (which we like when we're feeling cozy). Booking excursions was easy and the staff recommendations were good (snorkel catamaran tour, submarine tour). The property is lovely, well-maintained, and with beautiful flowers/plantings all around. It really did feel like we were staying in paradise.

A light blanket for the main bed would have been nice. Apparently room service is an option but we didn't realize that until we were almost ready to leave.

The bed in the room was extremely comfortable! The food at the restaurant across the street was delicious. The restaurant by the pool was also delicious The beach was gorgeous, so nice and clean. The staff was very, very friendly. The property was very well maintained.

The lighting in the room needs improving period the bathroom is not bright enough to apply eye makeup, try the mirror and that didn't help much period the mirror in the living area was not useful, again, lighting was poor period had to sit on the balcony. To use the mirror to see clearly. Also the water in the shower fluctuated from being a comfortable temperature to scalding hot intermitmentally.

Everything about our stay was fantastic - the beach. the room, the location - everything - but what stood out the most was the amazing service - Highly recommend!

I hate to say anything bad because I genuinely loved the resort but we did have one bad experience - The resort offers a great benefit the day you are checking out where you can reserve a room for 30 mins to freshen up before you head to the airport...unfortunately the room we were given was still dirty from the prior guests - dirty towels on the floor, bed unmade, even the money they left for the room service was out on the counter - Im sure it was done in error, but I I was surprised at how much care they took to make our stay amazing, but it didnt extend to our experience when we were leaving....

Loved the lovely room, staff and being right next to the beautiful beach! Hopefully we’ll be back soon!

I like the location, you cross the street which is not that far and you are in the beach, free stay in Cabanas! They clean your room twice. Facility is family friendly as I saw a lot of guest with children. I would like to thank Hannah for assisting us, accomodating and welcomed us back when our flight going back home was cancelled.

They need to strictly implement their policy about the Cabana. Like people can’t just leave their towels in cabanas making it looks like it is already occupied. If the guest are not there for 30mins, then it should be turn over to the next guest so that everyone should have an equal opportunity and enjoy the cabanas.
