I was almost put off by the negative reviews of this hotel online, but am so happy that I wasn't. It's true that the place is a bit tired, but it is a solid 7 or 8, not 1 in any case! Lack of options in Panagyurishte made me think twice before booking this place, and in the meantime all cheap rooms were gone, leaving me only with the apartment. As it is only BGN50 more expensive than the rest of the rooms, I thought it is a fair deal. It ended up being not an apartment but a fairly large studio on the top floor, facing the main town square and the Apriltsi monument, complete with a single round terrace on the building facade, tucked under the pitched roof. It felt incredibly private, and as this is also the most centrally located hotel in Panagyurishte, it also felt like the most prime seat in the whole town to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. The terrace got good use! There is also a restaurant in the building ground floor, facing the main square which I thought was quite good. Service there was impeccable!

Wear and tear as mentioned in many reviews, but nothing to actually bother you - chipped corners, some old stains... The carpet in my room looked new, though, and the sheets were clean so not much to complain about. I should, however, mention that as much as I liked the terrace, facing the main square made the apartment respectively very noisy after a certain hour. I was trying to sleep in, but struggled.

The location is great . Right downtown. They have a nice restaurant downstairs

We had an issue with the sink but the staff fixed it right away. Second morning the cook in charge for the breakfast was late for work and we missed to have an enjoyable breakfast ( had to eat as quickly as we could) before leaving the hotel

The top floor with the panoramic view from the inside of the room and the food in the restaurant were just perfect! Really liked it!

The bathroom was very small and there was not enough space to take a shower comfortly. One of the waitresses in the restaurant was not polite when I asked her something about the menu and overall wasn't very polite with me and I didn't know why.

Another good stay in Hotel Victoria, well worth the money.

The double rooms are naturally less charming than the apartment I stayed in last time. A bit more wear and tear was visible, but not facing the square was actually positive with respect to noise.

Little old furnishings and facilities like jacuzzi and sauna did not work.

Location was excellent. There was a shoe cleaning machine, that was a gem. Restaurant was excellent, but there was no direct connection between the hotel and the restaurant. Morning cold refresh to enter the restaurant was excellent.

To enter the room, there were few stairs. No issue at all, but the automatic lights did not turn on, so kind of challenge in the dark. After that you enter the room in darkness and voila, 2 stairs down, surprise, no sign or anything. Luckily I’ve seen few ninja and parkour movies to react🥷. Shower, well luckily I have some plumbing skills and fixed the leaking from everywhere shower. Unfortunately the shower was clogged too, and after 3 mins we had a private dam with some signs that Chewbacca was there before us. Reception told me they can’t do anything on Saturday, so the downside was that we were not able to use the dam for business opportunities.

I wasn't expecting a room on last floor with a pitched sloped ceiling for the price I paid. I was hitting my head in the ceiling when getting out of bed and this wasn't the room I saw on the picture when I made the booking. The one I saw when making the booking was wider with a sofa and normal ceiling. This one was smaller without a sofa and with sloped ceiling.

Location and restaurant

The doors were very nosy and I also I could hear the conversations in any neighbouring room. The window was looking the backside of a building.

No kettle and cups for a complimentary hot beverage. The room was old fashioned and crammed with beds. No space to move around comfortably. The mattresses and their toppers were worn out. Etc...

No room service. Breakfast starts too late, receptionist is not available (always missing from reception),
