The location was perfect for our overnight stay travelling back to the UK. All of the staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming. The restaurant was closed the evening we stayed, but recommendations were made and we could purchase drinks from the bar. The terrace and gardens were delightful and our bedroom was lovely, with superb views over the countryside. Breakfast was superb, with fruits, hams, cheeses, choice of eggs and breads, plus the nicest cured salmon we tasted for a long time.

There wasn’t anything we did not like.

Location is definitely perfect for a wedding celebration as guests can easily walk to their rooms at end of the night. Festhalle was perfect for wedding and staff were all extremely friendly and attentive. Garden is beautiful and the food in the restaurant was great. Fresh ingredients, daily additions, and a good selection of wine and standard cocktails.

Deluxe double room in garden house was on par with 3 star more than 4. Floors all unfinished in garden house rooms (bare concrete) which is out of sync with the nice array of antique furnishings. No double sinks in bathroom, no bathtub, and beds were two single 90cm mattresses laid next to each other. Compared to the beautiful historic interior of the main guesthouse, the garden house is like a brand new white box which feels very sterile. Car is needed if you want to go to Bodensee or to any shops or restaurants.

Everything was perfect, the staff is extremely friendly, the food is great (the dark chocolate mousse is a dream). Very clean, very quiet, even if the hotel is across the street from the train station. We travelled with our 4-year child, he was spoiled by the staff :)

The hotel is next to Salem Station and the food at the hotel is excellent.
