I didn't really like the breakfast. The eggs were very dry, crumbly and salty and tastes artificial.. The muffins were mediocre. The waffles were good. The only fruit offered were overripe bananas, almost black on the outside. There was bread, yogurt and oatmeal packages but no milk, which was OK. There was nothing for my wife to eat since she is gluten and lactose intolerant. Other Choice motels usually have oranges, apples and hard boiled eggs which would have been fine. We went to a cafe so she could have some breakfast. We did enjoy our stay but not the breakfast

The staff at this hotel were so helpful and friendly. They had quarters for the laundry machines, they allowed an hour late check in, they had room supplies (like extra coffee packets) laid out so people could help themselves. Evertything was 'Sure, no problem'. The bed was comfortable and the room very quiet which was important in that I was skewing sleeping hours early. I appreciated the fact that there weren't odors from cleaning supplies in the room or in the hallways.

The only thing I noticed was that the carpets were frayed in a few areas. Having a few more fresh fruit options would be nice and breakfast (like apples, oranges).

Breakfast is standard cheap breakfast you can find in any other Hotel of the same category. it is unfair to say it was "cheap" without saying all of them are the same. Room was clean enough and good personnel.

lobby armchairs were really dirty.... stains of food and who knows what else.

Excellent breakfast, easy to find location. We were quickly greeted when we got there and found our room to be comfortable and relatively quiet. We were surprised to find it at such a good price for the time of our visit - we were there the weekend of a football game and All State so campus was very busy.

The hot tub was out of order when we were there. Parking is a little difficult with only a small lot.

Super close to Cyclone Sports Complex, basketball training center, volleyball. Very good hot breakfast.

Another chair in the room would have been better.

Everything was clean and neat. For a 2 star hotel I would give it 4 stars!!! Breakfast was great and more than we thought there would be! Huge room with a huge bathroom. Nice beds.

The only thing was when the parking lot was being plowed at 10:30 at night. Shoving snow outside our room and banging on our a/c unit at 11:30. All when trying to get to sleep.

Didn't eat breakfast on site. My husband was disappointed there was no bacon, but we had already planned on eating out while in town. Enjoyed the breakfast on previous visits.

I have stayed at a couple of hotels in Ames and this is the one I always return to. It is close to my daughter's apartment and very easy to access from interstate. There has never been anything that we didn't lke.

Very clean. Smelled good. Desk attendants were friendly.

No gluten free bread/bakery type items. Note on door said “Gluten free items available upon request”, but when inquiring, the attendant pointed out fruit and oatmeal. For those that could have gluten, there was a crockpot full of gravy but no biscuits. No non stick spray for the waffle iron.

Quiet & not on super busy street / location was PERFECT! Nice & CLEAN with pool & hot tub. Breakfast was CONTINUOUSLY filled and DELICIOUS..NICE VARIETY!. ALL staff were courteous.. ☆☆☆☆☆

We were greeted cheerfully by Zoey, who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the locations of various restaurants, etc. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious! The spa was not available, which we were looking forward to, but the pool was clean and we had a lot of fun!

The refrigerator needed to be defrosted and the handle for the toilet paper holder came off, but it was easily fixed. There was not much that I didn't like about my stay at Sleep Inn. I have stayed at many hotels, and this one exceeded my expectations!
