After the worst experience with bb hotels previo night, we choose this hotel and it was great! 24 hrs reception, all spoke good English, breakfast was a top star! Love it to the bits! I wish I know this chain before! The only thing we missed was a lift as we had big 3 suitcases, but it did not spoil the experience ! Great hotel, great breakfast , nice selection. Great quality room. And of coral availability of parking. We asked few questions when we booked and within minutes I got a positive response. Love it

No fridge but they provided ice cubes

We often travel between Normandy and southern France or Spain - breaking our journey in Niort - and always choose to stay at this hotel (other than the time when it was full so we stayed at the Kyriad at Niort Est (La Creche) instead, which was absolutely dreadful). The cleanliness, facilities, friendliness of staff and location of Kyriad Espace Mendes is second to none for hotels in this price bracket. We've never had a meal here, so can't comment on the food.

That there are no English language channels on the TV, but this is only a tiny niggle!

Great for an overnight stay on our journey back to the UK by car with our dog. The hotel is attractive with well thought through colour schemes and furnishings. The room, although small, is neat and clean, with everything we needed for our stay and the bed was very comfortable. We asked for a room on the ground floor which they kindly accommodated, very handy to be able to take the dog out through the additional exit door without having to go into the main lobby/reception area. Parking was right outside our room which was also a bonus. Convenient for restaurants, boulangerie etc. We’ve stayed twice now and will come back!

For us, stopping at a Kyriad hotel is like staying in a Premier Inn in the UK; you pretty much know before you get there that you're going to get a comfortable room with the facilities you need for an overnight or 2-night stay. Our room had a small kettle so we could make our own hot drinks. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. The hotel is next door to a Buffalo Grill which provided a handy place for dinner (there are other restaurants in the area). Large shopping centre nearby with a large Casino hypermarket that has cheap petrol. Good location for a break in our trip from France to Spain, being just off the motorway to the east of Niort; so good that we stayed there on the return trip!

Nothing we didn't like; "did what it says on the tin".

Everything was extremely good - the room was clean and had everything we needed. The memory foam pillows were very comfortable. The shower room was good. The breakfast was absolutely excellent. We couldn’t fault anything. Very convenient restaurants nearby. The air conditioning was perfect. Well done to the staff.

We couldn’t find any faults

The room was small but very well appointed with a lovely bathroom. Our two dogs were made to feel welcome. The breakfast was delicious with lots of fruit, homemade yoghurts and jams. Just off the motorway so very easy access although you cannot really hear the traffic in the rooms. Lots of eating places nearby within walking distance.

Decent sized room and exceptionally comfortable bed. Also a dedent sized bathroom and walk in shower above average for this type of motel. A choice of Buffalo Grille and one other I forget just a few yards away where you can get a dcenet meal. Have stayed there twice and would use again.

The breakfast is OK but not really value for money for a coffee and croissant.A strange selection of dried sugary fruit. This is the only thing I would mark it down for.

We have stayed in this hotel quite a number of times now on our journey from the south of France to the ferries in Roscoff or Cherbourg. Although the staff changes from time to time, we have always found them to be very welcoming & helpful. Comfortable beds, good breakfast- an ideal stopover!

A really lovely breakfast and helpful staff, super clean room and easy parking 5 minute drive from Niorte.

The weather was warm and the central heating was only switched to warm…it hadn’t been switched to cool as yet, so was hard to sleep as doona also was warm. So rated slightly less for comfort on that basis.

Room was very spacious. We asked for a twin room and got a family room on the 2nd floor. Everything was very clean and in excellent working condition. Recommended.

I can't think of anything I didn't like. I am not complaining but some cooked bacon (or similar) would be welcome for breakfast to go along with the omelette. Great range of breads, cheese, etc.
