We stayed three nights in a room much bigger than we expected. While the bathroom and toilet combined was a little unusual, it all worked out very well. The bed was very comfortable and the wifi much faster than most places in Oman. We also liked the fact that it was only 100m to the bus stop for the Muscat run and was surrounded by restaurants in the centre of town. The staff were attentive and made us very welcome.

We like to have a window open at night and our room had a fixed picture window. The air con worked well but it's not the same. We would have liked tea/coffee facilities in our room.

Stayed for one night. The hotel is right in the heart of the centre/souk/shopping area. The staff was very friendly and made my stay very comfortable. The hotel is in an older building but renovated. It’s a good budget hotel and value for money was okay.

Bathroom is pretty basic and in a typical Arabic fashion where the shower has no curtains so the whole floor gets wet. The aircon was a bit smelly and I couldn’t regulate it to the desired setting. In the end I turned it completely off. That works in Jan but not when it’s hotter.

Do not judge the hotel by the appearance outside! The rooms are simple, basic but clean with a comfortable bed and a good shower (even though I do not like showers without glass). The air conditioning worked very well - Sur is very hot in September! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. It was quiet for sleeping. The price is great and correct for the standard of hotel. The location was good and close to the attractions in Sur although you do need a car to get around. We did not try the breakfast.

Modest but very comfortable hotel in the centre of town. Cheerful reception and clean rooms. Easy parking in the public square outside, so long as you arrive by mid-afternoon. A stone's throw from the souk, which is quieter and far less touristy than its Muscat counterpart.

Many of the rooms face brick walls - if you can, request a room looking out the front of the building. No lift, but staff will offer to carry your bags up and down.

The reception staff were very welcoming and chatty. The room was clean and comfortable, with air con and a fan which was appreciated. The location is okay, close to some shops and restaurants, 30 minutes walk to the lighthouse. Breakfast was good - especially the pancakes! Liked the rooftop area, they set up a washing line to dry clothes which was handy. Basic little gym up there too. We were able to extend our stay for an extra night without having to change rooms.

Small things really: there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room. Just the one pillow per person on the bed. The bathroom is a wet room so after showering it’s flooded and your feet get wet when you go in during the next couple of hours. Breakfast takes a long time to cook.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room and our sheets were very clean. For a low star hotel our stay was very good for one night. There are a few restaurants right around the corner. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on that.

First impression walking into the hotel it seems very shabby, the carpet is beyond old and done. However the room was comfortable and clean.

The room was very comfortable, spacious and modern and the staff were really helpful and friendly. We opted for an Arabic breakfast which exceeded our expectations in terms of quality and quantity (it included foul mudammas, labneh with honey, feta, olives, eggs, tea/coffee, khobez, hummus, jam). You can walk around the local shops surrounding the hotel and stock up on basics (water and snacks). There are several restaurants nearby (we had a late dinner a short walk away after the evening tour at the turtle reserve). We only stayed one night but I would definitely stay again.

The property was good and as described. The staff were super helpful and there was parking available outside. They also had food and coffee available (but you need to let them know in advance) pretty was clean and had what you needed

Although ranked one star, the hotel is very clean, with very helpful staff, conveniently located close to suque and the beach. The breakfast was very good, very fresh with good coffee, fresh pressed orange juice , omlet, sausages, a small beef burger and vegetables. Hot tosts and jam. Everything yummy and plenty! Very good internet connection. Just a perfect place to explore Sur and its surroundings! The suque is just on the other side of the street but it is very quiet in the rooms.

If you look for museums and historical places just round the corner - this is not the location. But if you have a car or you like walking or experience an everyday life of a busy city - its perfect.

A basic hotel but with everything that you need. The employees were really nice, they made everything to make sure we had a good stay and made us feel like we were at home. Everything was super clean and the location is really good and with lots of parking right in front of the hotel.
