I received an upgrade to a Suite because the room I originally booked had some technical issues that could not be repaired promptly. I really apricated the quick solution here! The Suite itself is huge and modern and equipped with a comfortable king-size bed, a big Smart TV and Sea View. There is a Petrol Station next to the hotel including a KFC which can be reached by feet. A few other restaurants are around as well with mainly Arabic/Pakistani food. The breakfast was good, Toast, Fruits, Cereals, Pastries, Eggs and some hot dishes and Omelettes will be served freshly cooked as per your liking. Check-In and Out was absolutely smooth and quick. Enough parking's are in front of the hotel, however, only a few of them are covered/shaded.

Very comfortable, great buffet dinner, plenty of parking space, and friendly staff. The whole place was very clean.

Very good breakfast and location

We had an excellent one night stay, and wish we could have stayed longer and explored more of Sur and the surrounding area. The reception staff were very kind and helped us with check in (and found us a cot for the baby) when we arrived after a long journey. The room was spacious and very clean, with a beautiful view of the sunrise. The swimming pool was heated to the perfect temperature, even when in the shade! Due to jetlag, we ordered room service and the sandwiches by the pool - all the food was delicious - and breakfast had a lot of choice. The staff were all very kind and friendly, and the hotel manager went above and beyond to make our stay extremely comfortable.

- The view from the room. We were upgraded to a suite with a double view onto the sea and onto the lagune, on the 4th floor. Very good. - The dinner and breakfast buffet. Great choice and excellent food. - The modern room - The very nice staff

- The noise in the room. The rooms are sound isolated, but not suficientlt to absorb the noise of the highly frequented road by the side of the hotel. - The location in the middle of no where. It is difficult to walk outside, as we have to cross highly frequented roads. - The dinner/ breakfast room, very impersonal. - The driving exit. There is no sign saying that by turning left, we take the 4 lanes road against the flow, which is very very dangerous.

The hotel is modern, rooms are clean and well appointed. Beds and pillows are very comfortable and shower is good. Overall, a very quiet and relaxing stay. All hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect to explore Al Ayjah and the eastern Oman coastline. There is also an excellent take away coffee shop next door to the hotel Would recommend staying here as this hotel is good value for money.

The restaurant is a bit hit and miss although you can easily find healthy, light food on the menu and in the breakfast buffet. There is enough choice to keep you going.

Huge modern bedroom and generally well designed hotel. Bed huge and comfortable; great AC in the room. Staff were amazing- fast and friendly F&B service; the GM is ex Marriott and it shows in the general hospitality and vibe. The dinner buffet was very good and there’s an extensive range of foods for breakfast too. Beautiful pool. Well worth the stay- wasn’t expecting it in Sur.

Cold shower second morning. The dining hall lacks character. Was told the pool and jacuzzi were heated- but they definitely were not!

Big, comfy room with an excellent swimming pool. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in figuring out transportatio, excursions and restaurant recommendations.

There's nothing you can do about this but except for the excellent Manart Sur diner next door, there is nothing around the hotel. It's a guaranteed cab ride anywhere in town. The beach is close but it's not very pretty. Functional but not much else.

I say this from the bottom of my heart that I could not recommend another hotel more than Sur Grand Hotel! We had 2 flat tires an hour out of sur at midnight. Hotel had 24 hour reception, Hussein picked up within a few rings and was so reassuring, chartered a taxi back for us and arranged for everything the next day to help us fix our tires even though it was a weekend. Owner of hotel even came down to send his regard and make sure we were ok. Truly wonderful experience of Omani hospitality! Other than that, room was impeccable, had a free upgrade with balcony view, breakfast was sumptuous
