It was a well-designed, well-constructed hotel. All the facilities were of high quality. Friendly, helpful, and professional staff. The housekeeping was excellent. The buffet breakfast was very good; it featured a variety of tasty dishes. The transportation service (arranged taxi) was good. A particular plus is the sauna and spa which were an exceptional value.

They overcharged my card which I am working to resolve. I have the final invoice in both Mongolian currency and USD, and the exchange rate based on those invoices matches the exchange rate the desk staff told me was in effect that day, so I don’t understand why I was overcharged.

The breakfast was excellent. Had three separate stays. First was excellent. Second one day stay was assigned a handicap accessible room and was not comfortable. Shower water covered the whole floor and housekeeping had to come and clean it up. There were blinking lights for various equipment that I had to cover with a bathrobe. The room and bed were comfortable, but the room was not ideal. Third booking was great. Put in a suite and the accommodate was absolutely wonderful. Finally water shut off from 10 pm to 6 am on a day when we had to leave at 5 am was not ideal, but I understand that these things happen.

See above. Staff was generally very helpful. Command of English was not great at times, but I don't speak Mongolia so I understand.

Always know you're going to sleep well, eat well and be comfy at a Holiday Inn - the UlaanBaatar hotel was no exception. Great size room, lovely large, comfy bed, got dark enough. Great food in the restaurant, great choices at breakfast. Decent WiFi. Very close walk to the Gandan Monastery and a slightly longer walk to Chinggis Khaan square (though that in itself is pretty underwhelming!)

We stayed in an accessible room (we didn't request it or need it) and the shower literally flooded the ENTIRE bathroom (including a pile of clothes I'd left near the toilet - and the weighing scales that are on the floor at the far end of the bathroom!) - No idea how you're supposed to shower without flooding the room. No access to air con in October, so we had to have the windows open (everywhere is kept very warm indoors in this country) - the windows faced directly onto the main roads which are gridlocked 80% of the time. The smell of the fuel was intoxicating and not in a good way!

The hotel was truly like an American hotel, with fully working heating, ventilation and cooling. Unlike most hotels that have barely functional HVAC systems. Excellent sound insulation. Room and bathroom were large and comfortable. WIFI was great and TV had enough English channels. Breakfast was very good, mostly a Western selection of food. Location is okay, only a 20 minute walk to the Parliament.

One evening I did smell a little bit of cigarette smoke coming from the heating ventilation system, so evidently people were smoking in another room. I selected a non-smoking room, but it was not that bad. The price of the hotel is a bit overpriced in my opinion, I don't think it is reasonable for Ulaanbaatar.

Three stays. First room excellent. Second room was a room for the disabled and it was a problem. Some light was on all night and had to cover with the robe. Shower left water all over the bathroom floor and house keeping had to come. Third room was a suite and even better than excellent.

The room was super clean and large. The bed was very comfortable. And the room was quiet. It felt very isolated from the rest of the world. There's a convenience store just outside, which was beneficial. The ac was very good and kept us nice and cool during our stay in the summer.

One shower head didn't seem to work or was too complicated for me to use. One of the paintings seemed to have water damage, but overall these are nitpicks for what amounted to a comfortable stay.

Clean and bright rooms, spacious. The location was reasonable - not right in the centre but easily accessible.

I was asked in the restaurant to pay for my breakfast although it was included in the price. I showed a copy of my booking but the restaurant staff still would not accept it and hassled me. I asked could I at least finish my breakfast before sorting it out. It was all quite embarrassing.

The rooms are very nice and staff is excellent

They have a sports bar on the top floor (19th), with karaoke sessions every night until 2:00, so if you are in a room from 15th up you might have trouble sleeping.

Great room. Super comfy bed. Didn't try any of the facilities but did go to the restaurant for dinner/ breakfast and that was pretty ordinary - but the room was great

Food on the menu was limited. They need to improve on that by offering variety of food and when I called to order food after 22hrs no-one answered.
