Always wonderful! We have been coming for years, for work and to relax too, and certainly plan to come back again soon. Excellent staff, lovely paths to walk or cycle around, easy access to Darmstadt too. We had two separate bookings, one for the Junior Suite in the Annex and one for a Classic Double in the main building over a five-day period, with our booking for the Suite done through their own site. Sadly, we missed the wonderful Diana suite, as it was already booked.

It's perfect. Just a kind suggestion to consider air-conditioning units; it would help when it gets very hot and humid, particularly in the Annex -there are now stand-alone units that do the job perfectly well and can be carried rather than fixed on the walls of this very old and wonderful building- or some sort of netting to at least allow the windows to stay open without risking a wasp coming in at night -this happens quite a lot- for those with allergies...

Great location with great facilities and an excellent restaurant. If you see a quiet location/room you will not be disappointed. Very imposing structure. In summertime it must be fantastic in the outdoors in the garden.

Not far away from the bigger city but the long traffic line converts a short trip to a very slow and tedious one. The main hotel exit is problematic for cars wanting to drive towards Darmstadt, in the morning rush. Correspondingly the price is a bit too high.

Beautiful hotel. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows were very soft, but that’s down to taste I think. we travelled with our 2 medium sized dogs and we felt very welcome with them. (Spain to Denmark) The hotel is surrounded by an incredible forest where we went for a morning walk with them. Our dogs were allowed into the hotel restaurant with us. We had the breakfast buffet, which was delicious. There is also a great park and dog park nearby! would come back for sure.

A bit pricey for the season, and price per dog was also a bit much, even though I am happy to pay for my dogs usually. I believe is was 20 euros per dog, per night.

The hotel is in beautiful surroundings. The room was large with a bath and a shower. Breakfast had everything anyone could have wanted. We ate at the hotel in the evening and that was also fabulous. Every member of staff was really friendly and helpful.

Air con (though a good fan was provided) and drawers.

Travelling for a corporate event cannot hope for a better place surrounded by a forest and just a couple of km from Darmstadt centre

A bit dark in the parking lot, and in case of rain (as it was when I arrived) walking from the car to the rooms can results rather muddy.

Nestled in a serene, tranquil setting amidst lush nature, the hotel offers a fairy-tale escape. With its peaceful surroundings reminiscent of a magical castle, guests are transported to a realm of tranquility and beauty.

Nearly everything was perfect. A pool would even make it even more amazing.

This was an old aristocratic hunting lodge converted to a hotel. I was there for a conference and all of our group was able to interact over two days in a calm and beautiful environment. I went for a long run through well signposted path in the huge woods adjacent to the hotel with no need to cross a road.

The location was good. We were visiting the nearby rail museum and were also 30 minutes from the Frankfurt Airport where we were flying out the next morning. Historical nature of the property and buildings was interesting. Grounds were very nice for walking. Dinner was excellent

The property is the perfect location for a romantic gateway, we had our little dog with us and there is a forest next to the establishment. The staff were very helpful and friendly, we really loved our stay there . We also had dîner at their restaurant and we highly recommend, delicious food for good value.

Very comfortable and clean with beautiful grounds. Perfect relaxing location after a long international flight...close to city but rural setting. Breakfast was wonderful. Overall great place to start our trip.
