The room was clean and well-equipped with all necessary amenities. The price was reasonable, and the location is excellent—close to JR Station, the famous cherry tree growing from a rock, Morioka Castle, and Morioka Park, which is well-known for cherry blossom viewing. The staff were polite and willing to provide helpful advice regarding transportation and sakura spots. Guests can use a parking area close to the hotel for 900 yen per night. The room itself is slightly dated, the bed was not very comfortable and caused some back pain, and the air extractor was a bit noisy. However, overall, I think this is a very good hotel, and I would recommend it to other travelers.

The lobby is an interesting time capsule but the rooms appear to have been recently renovated. Although I had a single, there was a spacious desk for working and also the lobby is good for meetings. Although it seems a bit far from the station, buses run regularly on the main street nearby (you can even go directly by bus to Hachimantai!) and the hotel itself is near the main tourist and nightlife areas.

The window in my room was really small. Also the breakfast is a good bargain but I wish they'd had better jam options for the bread, which was good because there was a whole grain option.

Staff was very friendly during check in and they even spoke English, which was very helpful. They let me park on-site, which cost 900yen. If their lot is full, there is a paid parking lot on the corner available too. The single room was very spacious, clean and modern. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walking from the castle site and there are plenty of restaurants nearby, as well as konbini across the road. Morioka is a wonderful city and I am glad I stayed here!

Comfortable and quiet room which is actually pretty large for a Japanese hotel. Close to all the main shopping and food areas and about a 25 minute walk from the station but was a nice walk. Japanese breakfast each morning was also great with a variety of little foods to try out. There is a Lawsons right across the road from the entrance. Staff were friendly and helpful on checkin and spoke English.

Was confused trying to find the place as it is also called hotel du nord but eventually figured it out

Nice, cozy hotel to stay in Morioka. Hotel was located about a 10 minute bus ride and few minute walk from Morioka Station (or a 30 minute walk). There are 2 convenience stores located in front of the hotel as well as a park and restaurants within walking distance. Would recommend. Advice for how to get to the hotel: go to the bus loop in front of Morioka station and ask which bus goes via 市役所前(shiyakusyo-mae meaning city hall), the hotel is only a few minutes down the road from the city hall.

Room 409 is comfortable and clean. The bed is comfortable. The room includes a bathroom with a bath, a fridge, a desk, a hairdryer and cosmetics. It's nice that there is a window in the room. Great location of the facility, close to attractions. Very nice and helpful staff. There are several convenience stores (combini) next to the building

Everything was OK.

The location was great, walk just a little to the park and in front of the hotel have Lawson and SevenElevent. The staff is helpful and the room is clean.

Because of the smoking room next to the entrance sometime when enter the building you can smell the cigarette.

Great location right inbetween the station and the more touristic area of Morioka. Everything needed is provided and the bed was quite comfortable. Convenient stores right across the entrance.

Typical for Japanese buildings, the window can't be open fully. Be aware of the name Hotel du Nord which is on the outside of the Hotel

Hotel is near Morioka castle and park. Many cafes and restaurants are around Hotel,can walk to them.We can goto Morioka station by bus. Staffs are friendly.Room is good. Breakfast has 2 choices Japanese set, American set.

Bed is a little small.

Central location and close Iwate Park was nice. Facilities appeared updated and very clean. Excellent amenities Breakfast was great value.

I felt the bed was a bit small for two adults.
