Our experience at Senetan Villas was outstanding. On the first day that we arrived, we were greeted with a welcome drink with a frangipani necklace, a fruit bowl, and foot soak. Unfortunately I was sick so they helped organise a doctor for me to see and brought complimentary homemade herbal tea to our room. One of the staff, Diani was so lovely checking in on how I was feeling each day and bringing me warm water at meal times to help with the sickness, unprompted. The place was extremely beautiful and the rooms were lovely and perfectly clean with drinking water refreshed each day. The temperature in the area is much cooler than other parts of Bali, so we didn’t need to use the air conditioner at all. Staff were happy to help with any request no matter what it was, and made us feel very much at home. The restaurant was great with many different options to choose from for breakfast, a complimentary afternoon tea each day, and dinner was lovely and not too expensive, with complimentary starters as well. The village was also really nice to explore. They had a local volleyball tournament they invited my partner to join in with, and everyone in the area was so kind and friendly. I cannot recommend Senetan Villas more highly, we will definitely be coming back if we return to Bali!

Cool location, the villa itself was gorgeous, great staff and amenities. Felt like I was transported to another world.

The only thing I didn’t like is it was a long drive to get to places we want to go. But the hotel had a shuttle into Ubud and it was still easy to book transportation.

The hospitality, upkeep of the grounds and facilities exceeded my expectations. I stayed in a private and comfortable bungalow with a feel of authentic Balinese luxury. Every morning consists of a refreshing, exotic range of fruit with a choice of breakfasts. The spa treatment is not to be missed, due to the care and attention you receive from the talented staff, leaving you feeling exfoliated and relaxed. The shuttle into Ubud town is especially handy as you can enjoy the quiet of the area but are not far from the hustle and bustle of local markets and shops, temples, museums and attractions. I very rarely leave reviews, but Senetan Villas deserves a big shout out. We have just come back after a full blissful week in one of their private villas. Staying at this private villa was nothing short of magical—truly a dream come true. Nestled deep in the serene Bali jungle, it felt like we had our own hidden sanctuary. The peace and quiet were unmatched, broken only by the gentle sounds of nature. It was the perfect escape from the world. The villa itself was impeccably clean (despite being in the jungle with an open bathroom) and to our surprise, completely mosquito-free—a rarity in such a lush setting. Every corner of the space felt thoughtfully designed and meticulously maintained. The bed was absolutely massive and incredibly comfortable, making it hard to leave each morning. The staff fulfilled my request to add a mosquito net around our bed from the very first night, which gave me extra peace of mind. We landed very late but the staff stayed awake and still welcomed us with big smiles, a much needed refreshing welcome-drink, flower necklaces and even complimentary sandwiches after a 25h long journey from home! So thoughtful. One of the highlights was the stunningly large pool, completely private and surrounded by greenery. We spent hours floating, unwinding, and soaking in the tranquil atmosphere. The food was excellent—every meal was a delight, beautifully presented and full of flavor. And so many choices, there truly is something for everyone. We ate there for 8 days and not a single issue in case you are worried about Bali-belly. But what truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. Every single person went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, cared for, and completely at home. Their warmth and attention to detail made this experience unforgettable. Our biggest shout out goes to Diani!!! If you’re looking for complete privacy, luxury, and a peaceful retreat in nature, this villa is everything and more. We can’t wait to return.

We loved everything!!! If I had to be extremely picky, I would say that the WI-FI could have been a bit faster, but you are there to relax, not to work, hopefully!!

I recently stayed at one of the villas with a private pool and had a wonderful experience. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable and a large size. The bathroom was modern and stocked with all the necessary amenities it was also a great atmosphere as it was surrounded by nature. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcomed throughout my stay. I highly recommend this hotel room for anyone looking for a comfortable, peaceful and enjoyable stay. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

The location was a little far from the main Ubud area however the hotel offered free shuttle everyday which was a great offer.

You are feeling yourself really special, when we arrived they served a welcome drink and when we went to room they did a foot massage to us. your private villa directly in the nature. We like open bathroom, room is big and swimming pool is enough for 2person, staff always helpful and warm. We like free Ubud shuttle service and room services were fantastic, the restaurant’s menu really diversed. I really recommended for new married couples.

The towels were clean but very old, there were permanent stains on them and their colors had faded, I think it's time to change them :) Since it’s an open bathroom, the sound insulation is very low, all the sounds from the villa next door can be heard

A slice of paradise in the most stunning location. After the busyness and heavy traffic of Bali, retreating to recharge in the middle of the jungle was such a welcome treat. My villa was so comfortable, spacious and private, and I particularly loved the outdoor bathroom! The pool was perfect, and I loved the occasional visits to my property of animals such as lizards (remember you’re in the jungle). The staff were outstanding - it really felt like nothing was too much to ask of these warm and hospitable employees. Finally, the restaurant was brilliant: a very expansive breakfast, lunch and dinner menu to suit all tastes. The staff were also happy to make accommodations for dietary needs. If I come back to Bali again, this will be the first accommodation I book!

I noticed a slight lack of security - neither of the doors to my villa sealed fully, leaving a 2cm gap between the doors and the frames, even when locked. Given that the doors didn’t feel sturdy, I couldn’t help but feel they could easily be prized open in the unlikely event that a thief was nearby, despite the locks. Furthermore, some aspects of my villa were a little worn, especially on the outside (e.g. wooden panelling that needed repainting or replacing).

The private pool was a highlight for me—a serene oasis where I could relax and enjoy Bali's natural beauty in complete privacy. The dining experience was equally exceptional. Every meal I had was a treat for the senses, with fresh, flavorful dishes that showcased the best of Balinese cuisine. The chefs clearly put so much care into crafting each dish, and it showed in every bite. Senetan Villa & Spa Resort provided the perfect blend of luxury, relaxation, and authentic Balinese hospitality. I left feeling refreshed, pampered, and already dreaming of my next visit. There was nothing not to LIKE!

Everything! The location, the decor, the people, the grounds, the food. All amazing! We arrived as a large group, in the evening, after a long day of travelling, and was greeted with flower garlands, welcome drinks and a complimentary foot rub, even for the children. We were given a quick tour of the stunning grounds, and shown to our villas, which were beautiful! So much lush greenery, inside/outside living areas and gorgeous pools. We were a little dubious about mosquitos with being in the jungle, but during our 4 night stay, none of us got bitten. We did see wildlife - frogs, lizards, snakes, butterflies and spiders, but all were harmless, and we enjoyed seeing them. Food in the restaurant was delicious, there was a good variety, and service was exceptional. There’s loads to do in Ubud, we wish we had booked longer in that area. We also enjoyed a complimentary couples massage whilst at Senetan. After we checked out, the cleaners found my son’s AirPods in his room, which they very kindly couriered to our next stay in Sanur, free of charge. Senetan Villas was our favourite accommodation whilst in Bali, and it was also the best value for money. Highly recommended!

We are a family of 5 and the villas were very nice. The hotel personal was very kind all the time, willing to help whit every question we had. The food choices for breakfast were amazing and all in all it was very tasty. The Villas are a bit far from Ubud, but they have a free ride three times a day, so this is very usefull if you travel as a family.
