We really loved our stay. We stayed 7 nights and the distance to town didn’t bother us because we have scooters (there’s a place to park for them). The staff were really lovely, the room (executive suite) was amazing with unbeatable views and beautiful breezes. We’ve lived in bali for a few years now and this was one of our favourite places. It’s been brutally hot this year in Ubud and it was such a relief to come back from town into this microclimate of cool breezes. Pool was sufficient. I’m not sure why other people complaining any the food menu, in my experience with Bali hotels this was a pretty good menu (very cheap). We had quite a few things on it and everything was great. Breakfast was good and any time I asked for changes (in any meal like more veggie or no meat) they accommodated me without question. We didn’t have any issues with sound, but I get up at 6 am…maybe if you like to sleep in until 10am when they clean it’s not for you. Bed was super comfy and soft (so if you like hard beds, not for you) and good pillows. Smart TV. Amazing bathtub! No dogs around. In the distance a small pig farm you can hear on occasion when it’s feeding time (rarely noticed). We found this place to be extremely peaceful, comfortable and accommodating. Budi transferred our luggage at no cost to our next hotel which was such a great bonus! We are in the process of booking a second stay with Budi! Take it from us, this is a great place to stay and we’ve been all over Bali. **Note: there is a shuttle 2x a day to Ubud. Pick up by GoJek isn’t accessible here (you need a driver, scooter, or take a shuttle). Grab food isn’t accessible here but there’s a mini fridge if you want to keep snacks.

The bathroom could be a little bit cleaner and coffee could be improved (wasn’t consistent, often tasted overwhelmed) and they could use more variety in breakfast for long term stays. This place isn’t for you if want to be super active and walk into town, it’s best as a chill spot with casual visits to town. For those that said in other reviews it’s not ‘quiet’, sorry it was quiet and you have no idea how loud Bali can be haha this was VERY quiet! Most OTHER places where you get motor bikes, 6 rooters, a pack of dogs, community centre playing music into 11pm, temple wake-up music at 6am - NONE of that here…for the record.

This is a little hidden gem! If you are looking for a peaceful get away then this is the place. Set back off the road in the rice fields. The room was beautiful decorated with a super comfortable bed and balcony. The bath has views of the rice fields and tranquil garden (perfect for a romantic getaway) You will need a scooter of a taxi to get to Ubud however the owner is very accommodating/ approachable and happy to organise/provide a lift. The hotel is also next to the Elephant sanctuary and close to kemulilir coffee plantation. I would definitely stay again!

Most of the cafes and restaurants are in Ubud so a taxi ride back is required.

Everything! The room was amazing, very clean and spacious with the most insane view (we were first floor). Staff were exceptionally sweet and thoughtful and polite, they decorated our room for my partner’s birthday and got him a little desert with a candle and sang happy birthday which made his birthday extra special. They were always there if we needed anything, the food was lovely, the pool was great, the surroundings so so beautiful and not too far from the centre if you have a moped.

It would be nice if there were more sun-beds as 4 are not enough and there were times we wanted to stay by the pool but there was no space because there are only 4 sun-beds for 6 rooms.

This place is absolutely amazing for relaxing. The customer service is outstanding—every detail is thoughtfully taken care of. Anytime we had a request, the staff responded promptly and always with a warm smile. They even picked us up for a late check-in and helped with our bags—small things, but they made a big difference. The setting is incredibly peaceful, surrounded by farmland with no sound of traffic—just frogs and the calming sounds of nature. Even the air smells fresh and clean. Sitting by the swimming pool to meditate or simply relax with a partner was so refreshing. The indoor space was spotless and comfortable, complete with a fridge, a bathtub, and all the essentials. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to escape the noise and truly connect with nature.

While The Nenggala Suite great view, great staff but wasn’t the best choice for us in terms of location, the room itself made up for it by offering a peaceful, farm-like experience where you feel like you’re living on your own little retreat. The staff were truly wonderful – always smiling, helpful, and very welcoming. We didn’t get much time to enjoy the room since we were busy with activities, but we definitely appreciated the warmth and hospitality of the team. It’s a great place if you’re looking for a quiet and unique stay.

The location.

Manager and staff very welcoming, can't do enough for you. We also rented a scooter from the hotel which was handy with it being in a remote location. The room was spotless and had really nice bespoke wood furniture throughout. We stayed in the top floor with terrace, views are unbelievable rice fields, jungle and mount batur and agung in the distance with clear weather. Food wise we only had breakfast on 1 morning and it was excellent so I presume the rest of menu is too. They did off cultural activities to do nearby at no extra cost. Can't rate these highly enough thanks Nenggala suite!

Nothing. Just worth noting the road to the accommodation isn't accessible by car. If your driver can get through the very uneven road it will be Roughly a 50m walk if not it will be about 100m. Take care walking on the poor surface

Really amazing place

Just one thing - My room was on top and there were no buildings in front. No one can see inside the room. But there was a DRONE flying outside my balcony and windows. I didn’t know and I was changing clothes!! This is a violation of privacy. I told the staff that drones should never be allowed to fly in front of guests’ rooms. I have never seen a hotel allow a drone to fly and look inside the privacy of other guests’ rooms!

The room was very nicely designed/decorated, super clean, and spacious! Really liked the way the standing shower was designed with the rocks flooring and the bath tub looking out to the rice field. The staff was wonderful and always had a smile on their face. From the moment, we stepped onto the property to when we left, the staff was very welcoming and helpful with our luggage. The property is situated in the middle of the rice field so a car can't pull up right in front but the walk was super short (~1 minute) and if you need to go out and catch your ride, the staff always offer to drive you out on a buggy. The walk is super short so sometime we don't even need the buggy. Communicating with the staff regarding our needs (e.g. ordering food, housekeeping, etc.) was very easy with Whatsapp and they were very responsive. We had a balcony in our room that look out to the rice field and had breakfast there every morning to enjoy the beautiful view. There is a bottom pool and a top pool where you also get a good view of the rice field. The location within 30 min car ride to a lot of attractions (e.g. temples, waterfalls, elephant park, etc.).

The only thing I could think of is the way the bedsheet and pillow smell. They smell like stale water or when you leave your laundry in the washing machine after a while and forget to take them out to dry, it has this stale water smell. Not sure if it was only our bedsheets (since it didn't bother us that much to ask them for new one) or just the way the bedsheet was washed.

The stay was incredible! We stayed only for one night and that was a mistake on our part. We should have stayed for at least 5 days. This is the perfect location. It is between Ubud and Batur, near all of the rice terraces. The owners provide you with a complimentary transport to Ubud every day. Wow. Now, the room was huge, arranged in a local Balinese style. Nice stand-alone bath with a beautiful view of rice fields all around. AC was working perfectly, the beds were as comfortable as you get them. The garden is full of plants, trees, little streams, pools. It is quiet and serene. Ideal place to unwind and chill out. The owners are really helpful and friendly. This was our best stay in Bali! Will be back in the future.

Everthing was absolutely amazing. The staff absolutely made our stay really good enjoyed there company but also really pleasant. Really helpful. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Bali. We did the Balinese traditional dress and offering making which where both really good experiences we also had a tour round the village. Food was out this world. The price was great Value for money a little far from the centre of Ubud but well worth the travel you have the elephant sanctuary near by with lots of other activities.

Skip this because nothing was wrong absolutely fantastic
