This was great for our walking trip - great village location, lots of amenities, food was good and staff friendly. The pictures, currently, do not do this place justice. We really enjoyed it!

We accidentally booked a double instead of a twin. The place was inflexible making a change, and when we knew the room was available (but not cleaned), it was quite disappointing. For us we sometimes make last minute bookings due to the weather in the hills, therefore expect the room to be cleaned by 7pm when we arrived.

Dinner- we ate at the restaurant for dinner after checking in. The staff were lovely, food was reasonably priced and delicious. Fast service too! Would recommend their tomato soup, 4 cheese pizza and the desserts! Room was comfy, clean, hairdryer available at reception to borrow. Shower was a good pressure and temp. Free parking behind the hotel is fab and it’s located in a good area with lots of shops/ restaurants & a petrol station nearby.

We didn’t have the breakfast as we thought £15 per person was quite a lot on top of the room rate. Our room was lovely however when the door was shut you could still hear everything outside the room as the door didn’t go all the way down to the floor, so not very private at all with a big gap under the door. The room was very very hot! Even with the windows open. There was no way to turn the radiators or heating down, the small bathroom was like a sauna! The room was nice but very random- lots of different decor in one room, not sure what the theme was, looked a bit thrown together. Also no chair for the dressing area, had to drag the big armchair which was quite heavy.

Breakfast good especially variety of items on the plate for a Full English. I'd just like to mention the tea/coffee machine - coffee drinks not a problem. I made mug of tea but the only milk to go with tea was hot and made the drink frothy.

Our room was right at the top of the building so going up and down was little bit of a challenge.

Comfy, clean, good value for money! The gentleman I met upon check in was very polite and accommodating. Lovely spacious room with en suite, all clean and fresh.

It wasn't very clear that breakfast was an extra £12. The price wasn't an issue but I was trying to find out about whether breakfast was included or not, but this wasn't very obvious. Apart from that, everything was great, I'd definitely return!!

The room was basic but clean. Beds were comfortable. Food was very good (dinner, we didn’t need a full breakfast).

Not really a fault with the property but because of the warm weather we had to have the window slightly open which meant we were woken by noise from nearby properties at 02:30.

Cheap price, free parking at the back, centre of town, close to many attractions. Decent size rooms. Restaurant downstairs, serves breakfast at £12.5 per person for full English and unlimited coffee

Bit out dated but if looking for just accommodation at a cheap price it's perfect

Second time I stayed here. Had an excellent evening meal. Check in was easy and it is in centre of town. Folks were friendly and helpful.

Went for a shower on arrival and it had to be a cold one as someone had messed up the upstairs water heating (not me). Then a different problem with outside door on arrival back late -suggest it does not need to be like Fort Knox to get in.
