Had several stays here going back over 7 or 8 years, so that tells it all really. Situated in a lovely quiet part of Glossop, overlooking a church and churchyard so it's pretty quiet. Staff are friendly and cheerful on arrival, and gave information about the local area. De-luxe double room was large and warm, and bed was very comfy. Shower and toilet were clean. Breakfast was served in the Queens Arms, literally a short 100m walk down from the Bulls Head. Excellent Full English Breakfast, along with cereal and gluten free alternatives should you prefer. Served by really nice staff, cheerful and chatty.
I've stayed several times now, and each time I've left extremely satisfied after my stay. So I can honestly say that there is nothing which I dislike.

We had a lovely stay in the charming bedroom above the pub, which we liked very much. However, there are a couple of points we feel need addressing: 1. A staff member informed us that breakfast was served at 9 am, but it was actually at 8 am. Unfortunately, this meant we missed it. 2. While we appreciate that the hotel is dog-friendly (a significant factor for us), the information in the bedroom states that dogs are not allowed on furniture, and there may be a £50 charge if this rule is not followed. This policy should be made clear to guests at the time of booking to avoid any misunderstandings. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, but these minor issues could improve the clarity and convenience for future guests.

Have stayed several times before. Each time never disappoints. Staff have always been welcoming and cheerful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I've found it to be in a quiet location during the weekdays I've stayed there. The Full English Breakfast is well cooked and presented, and is served in the Queens Arms which is a short couple of minutes walk away. I've already booked my next stay.
Personally, I'd really like a slightly earlier weekday check-in time, but the 4pm time is just about ok.

Breakfast was excellent; interesting that it was at a different location, another lovely pub just down the hill. Dinner at the Bull’s Head was great, chips fantastic (real potatoes, not frozen). Friendly informal surroundings in cosy rooms on the main floor of the pub; bedroom was a good size with a very comfortable king-sized bed with immaculate coverings. The staff were fabulous, everyone so incredibly friendly and welcoming in ways we hadn’t experienced before in the south of the country, which seems much more formal. We loved the location across from the churchyard. It was very peaceful, lots of birdsong. Bit difficult to find at first, but some friendly local folk helped us find our way. Glossop seems like a really lovely community.
There was nothing we didn’t like about our visit to Glossop and the Bull’s Head. If we ever come back this way, The Bull’s Head is where we will stay.

Have stayed at the Bulls Head before, and didn't hesitate to book again. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable, with a lovely outlook over the church. After a peaceful and restful night's sleep, we had a short walk of 100 yards to breakfast served in the Queens Arms. Another really nice pub, with a friendly, warm welcome and a good choice for breakfast. The Full English was well cooked, hot and well presented.

Great location, just a 10 minute walk into town. A 5 min taxi ride from the train station. Food excellent - the Sunday roast was amazing. Breakfast was served at their sister pub, which is literally a 30-second walk away and was amazing. The staff were super helpful, and nothing was too much Highly recommended and would deffo stay there again.

Nice ambience, good location
Unfortunately we stayed on a Tuesday Only to discover the restaurant wasn’t open for an evening meal nor was it open for breakfast on the Wednesday morning…which wasn’t a problem since we enjoyed a very good breakfast and their sister pub ‘the Queens head’ down the road I imagine the issue is that October is rather out of season and it would be unfair to believe that all facilities should be available through out the year… so whilst it was a hiccup in our overall experience we would still go on to recommend the Hotel as a good value and commendable place to stay in Glossop

We decided to stop over glossop, after travelling from my place at Chester, to Kays place in Langold, as it is half way across,We have stayed in Glossop last year. At the Norfolk arms. This was booked up so when stopping for a drink at the Globe, the barman suggested the Bulls Head,we were able to book a room for the night.Breakfast is served down the road at the Crown. The weather was atrocious ,yet, only added to the overall thrll of the area.tThis is a area we shall visit again.Well done.
Having to eat breakfast down the road.Although we left early to beat the traffic at the Woodhead pass.

Flexible check in. Room very comfortable situated in the lovely area of old Glossop. Staff were very friendly and we'd certainly stay here again.
I would have preferred that breakfast was not so early and that it was served in the hotel. Having said that, the 5 mins walk to the hotel where breakfast was being provided was not an inconvenience and was a nice way to begin the day.

The Bull's Head is one of three pubs in this part of Old Glossop. It is very well-located for walking in the Peak District. The breakfast, which was served in The Queen's Arms, just a few metres down the road, was excellent. We particularly appreciated the good humour and cheerfulness of the ladies who cooked and served it. We ate in the Bull's Head restaurant both nights; the food was very good. They specialise in tapas, which made a nice change to standard pub fare.
There was nothing we didn't like. My husband would have appreciated decaffeinated coffee after dinner, but this is a small issue.
