The staff were really welcoming, friendly and helpfull throughout my stay. The housekeeping was to a really high standard throughout. My room was large and well serviced with good heating you can control.Bed and pillows were the most comfortable I have had in hotels. The scrambled agg I had was the best I have had in a hotel and a great price. It was really easy to come and go as you needed especially leaving early in the morning. No problem parking. Great area close to the station perfect for the football. I will stay again.

The ONLY thing I didn't like was the noise from the music in the bar when it was after 11 and still going. It was worse on the Sat than the Sunday.

Right next to Glossop Station and in the middle of the town. Very friendly staff. A busy pub, so the bar area will be noisy but the sounds up to the rooms above were well muted. Room a little small but was comfortable and had all amenities.

They have about 8 parking spaces in the front courtyard and we were lucky to get a slot each time we came back to the hotel (2 day stay), otherwise it's street parking. On a busy road junction, and the town is gateway to Woodhead and Snake Passes so very noisy motorbikes are held at the lights all day and early evening at weekends. Can get annoying if you are trying to concentrate or rest. No problem at night - surprisingly quiet. Breakfast at the weekend is from 9am, but there's a Weatherspoons a short distance away doing breakfast from 7am.

This hotel has a pub and reasonably good restaurant downstairs, but the rooms upstairs were surprisingly quiet, even when there was a quiz night getting going in the bar. Rooms are tastefully renovated and comfortable, with double-glazing and proper baths, and staff were consistently friendly and helpful. There were three of us in two rooms, and we found it a great place to stop and relax at the end of a month-long road trip around the UK, before heading to Manchester airport the next day. Centrally located, and handy (free) parking on the forecourt.

The location is right in the centre. Great place to stay clean. MORE than friendly staff.from carol who gave us a warm welcome. The cleaning staff took time to chat to us and told us afew places to go..The bar and waitress all were friendly and professional. Great team.we stayed in bedroom 2.which was on the main road but the traffic didn't bother us.just redecorated new beds.great she bath room and over head shower plenty of hot water.Thwy proved shower gel shampoo.hair dryer. Iron and ironing board. Coffee and tea .breakfast is extre and not till 10am but you can order a breakfast to your room before 10am but I think it's a continental.??.

There is only one thing I didn't like .They don't have a gulton free meals menu .but you have to look through the list of allergies list .would be nice to have a menu for that.But the staff again helped out and went to the kitchen and checked and double-checked for us.so there are a few things you can have.

Room was lovely, very clean, decor lovely staff members very welcome and friendly, breakfast fantastic one of the best cooked breakfasts I've ever had very hot and plenty Breakfast at the weekend was available until 12 midday of which was great ,location really good, , parking outside okay and free, General decor in the pub downstairs was really lovely if anyone is wanting to stay in Glossop then this is the place to stay

The wardrobe sadly only had 2 coat hangers, could of done with a few more, Television only had a limited amount of channels to watch Music from the pub downstairs could faintly be heard until midnight, however what we did hear we enjoyed listening too Check out time was 10.00 am, however for an extra £15, you could extend that to midday (of which we did) but I do feel that check outs should be to at least 11.00 and no extra fees to pay....but overall a lovely stay

The room was very clean and probably the biggest bed we've had. A good touch was the 3 seat sofa in the room. We had a bath with a very powerful shower over, run off the main water and not a electric one. Curtains and blinds stopped the light coming in. Great evening food didn't need to eat outside of here.

Bath towels not designed for us more cuddly people. More space for clothes. Not the bet soundproofing in the world.

This is a pleasant and welcoming pub, with pleasant rooms. staff were friendly and the bar was lively in the evening. Food was nice served quickly and very hot. Very much a pub of local people as it filled up for the football and quiz.

A cooked breakfast wasn’t available until 10am, checkout was at 10am. Not great if you are there for work purposes and need to leave earlier. You could have pastries brought to your room from 7.30 so could be ok for most

The room was decent sized, comfortable and a large, comfy bed. Breakfast was sublime with great quality ingredients and one of the best we have ever had. Great beer at reasonable prices, a quieter dining area available but plenty of TVs in the main bar area for sports. Clearly well attended by locals with really friendly and helpful staff. It's located 20 yards from the railway station, which was great for us. We will come back!

No criticism to offer.

The Hotel was clean, bright, warm, slap in the middle of town and with helpful staff.

Mildly disappointed with the breakfasts. There was only Continental available before 10am so we ordered that. I was, sort of, looking forward to wandering down and having some juice, toast and coffee but at 8am there was a knock on the door and we were given a small basket to share containing an apple, a banana, 3 small boxes of cereal, 2 tiny bottles of milk (a week out of date!), 2 pain au chocolat and 3 tiny pots of jam/marmalade. It was a cold, damp, November Monday and the restaurant/pub shut at 6pm for reasons of economy, which is fair enough!

Staff very friendly, food very good I would say big improvement on usual pub food. Decoration gave modern feel, could do with touching up in places in our room. Very impressed with the Traditional breakfast. Nice touch in the ladies providing complimentary sanitary items and hairspray.

We had Sunday dinner which we were very impressed with apart from the Turkey. This was an additional £2.75 per person. The portion of this meat was small and quite dry to eat. The beef on the other hand was lovely.
