The location was perfect for the Picturedrome situated to the side of the Old Bridge Inn. The rooms are a decent size and we found the beds extremely comfortable .Lovely fresh ,white bed linen. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. Fresh mushrooms and tomatoes with good quality produce (sausage and bacon. )The continental was also very good.Other options on the menu if you do not want a full English. Staff, especially on reception very helpful. We found most staff to be polite and friendly. Recommend for a night or weekend stay. Especially if looking to go to a performance at the Picturedrome. We would book again.
The rooms could have been cleaner. Towel rail/ heater ,thick dust on lower runs . Toilet had blue cleaning fluid in the bowl but had not actually been cleaned from previous guests. Bathroom bin ,needed a wipe over ,mucky exterior. No complementary mineral water as stated. We had three rooms for our family. The two rooms facing the front of the building, no issue with noise at all by 11.30 pm all was quiet. The third room to the back ,had noise that went on into the early hours. It was so bad that one family member ordered a taxi back to Todmorden. No spare rooms available unfortunately. However the hotel staff were very sympathetic and gave a full refund for that room, we appreciated their kind offer.

right from first walking in ,till leaving the staff were all excellent, simply could not do enough for you, The food was top notch and nicely presented, The range of toilietries in the bathroom was really good, The parking was a welcome bonus, The heating in the room was on 24/7 and believe me it was needed, A very cold night in FEB, The picturedome is literally a stones throw, could not be nearer, We booked for a music gig ,Its that popular we had to book 12 mths in advance to get in, its always booked up well in advance, would defo stay again if we can get in The iron and ironing board in the room was a welcome touch, and i imagine the fan that is supplied would be very welcome in the summer, they really have thought of everything.
I did think the breakfast buffet should have had a pair of tonques for the bread tray by the toaster, I found it a bit off putting watching all those hands handling the bread before me,, Maybe have a late bar for residents only , didnt get out of gig before the bar closed, would have been a nice bonus to have an after show drink in the hotel bar, and exchange reviews on concert with other quests, but the only downside i can see.

The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us! The atmosphere was so welcoming, just like a big family home and its so central too. Can't rave enough about the chef as the food was amongst THE best I've ever had and I'm veggie so that was an extra bonus. Thank you to the night porter for his extra care serving our last orders and his friendly demeanor!
The car park signage as it was a nightmare to spot but the lovely receptionist walked us through how to find it!

Good location for stay but difficult to find due to scaffolding on building small sign at entrance. Narrow road to hotel. All staff Excellent in hotel and restaurant friendly and helpful especially with car parking and advice Great service food was lovely and plenty of choice good size portions and breakfast huge. Beds comfortable for us shower over bath okay but prefer shower cubicle.Great seating in bar or outside service good overall condition good and clean. Room cleaning staff friendly and did good job.
Room was a double we think made to be a twin and some features weren't correct like plug socket by bed all in wrong position. Very hot nights and Room windows would not open fully because of cord fitted so hard to sleep also noise from air conditioning unit outside on roof not good. Musty smell going in Room. Size of room for price average could be a bit bigger Fan provided only recirculating hot air and noisy for night use. But better than nothing.

The staff are fabulous, very helpful and friendly, especially Holly. Location is perfect, right in the centre next to the picturdome, ideal if you are staying in town to watch a band like we were. Lovely breakfast, especially good vegan option, Nice evening menu, again, good vegan options. Room was tired, but clean - small car park, but we did get a space. We will definitely stay there again. Big thank you to the staff!
Room and decor was tired, it needs refreshing - bathroom was fine,

Breakfast was amazing. Right in the heart of town and easy to get to sites from "The Last of the Summer Wine" which is why I came. Bus station right out in front.
The water heating system for the shower was goofy. I think it's supposed to heat the water as you use it. I don't know. It starts out boiling hot. But, from then on it cycles between very cold to comfortably hot. So, after lathering up, you need to wait for the "hot cycles" to rinse off.

Receptionist "Hollie" was friendly, helpful, efficient and very effective in her role. Her positive 'can do' approach to customer service is exemplary.
A small decorative issue that if addressed would enhance the overall standard is the somewhat unpleasant 'feel' of the stairway handrails ... years' worth of visitors' hand contact has coated the wood with a tacky grimiiness - yuck! They really could do with a thorough clean/sand/re-varnish.

Great location, very central and next to Picturedome. Staff we lovely, great breakfast and service, nice bar.
Not much as it was good and we will be staying again. Car park was full when we got there but plenty of other parking key walkable. My dinner, which was Vegi was a bit bland, CousCous etc could have been better but lovely breakfast amd the Mrs dinner was lovely, so was my starter. Room was nice bimut it's an old building, so odd flaw but we don't mind that, it gives it character.

Location, character of the building, friendliness of the staff who seemed to be working very hard. Clearly a very popular place on a sunny Sunday for people to enjoy a drink on the terrace,.
We were disappointed in the quality/value of some of the food. The Pork Loin was served lukewarm. The Plaice was very short of flesh and very bony. (What to expect from fish?). The Cheese Board, the most expensive of the desserts, was very poor value. Three small bits of cheese and a few plain biscuits, plus chutney and a few bits of broken walnuts. The celery was missing. No cooking required, should have been half the price. (But I enjoyed the crumble which was too much for a companion). At breakfast the toasted muffins (for Eggs Ben/Royale, etc.) were tough. The bedroom like so many in old buildings, is short of space, with only enough room for one chair and the luggage stand.

nearly all of it, the atmosphere was really good as soon you walked through the door. The staff member checked us in straight away and gave us directions to our room. The room was nicely decorated and enough space for just one night. Everything in the room we required, even a fan. Breakfast was really, really nice. Freshly cooked Full English with beans in a pot! (I hate bean juice on my breakfast). It was help yourself to toast, fruit, yoghurt, pastries and fruit juice.
The only thing was that the toilet was squashed between the wall and the bath. I am not a small person and found it difficult to use. I know for the majority of people that this is ok but for the larger person, it isn't.
