We loved everything about this property. The location is tucked away and sheltered. The building is well looked after and maintained. The art work and decoration of the inn itself are relevant to the area and the building which makes reading and looking at them really interesting and pays homage to the history of it and the local area. The staff are super friendly, helpful, polite and you can’t ask for anything more. They really made our stay there so great. The rooms and living areas are modern and clean, the beds are comfy. The playgrounds are great for kids of all ages, the animals are delightful. Absolutely loved it and would visit again in the future!

There was absolutely nothing to dislike about the property.

Staff were all friendly. Easy check in, lovely room, with comfortable bed and doors that open out onto a private balcony area. Nice bar with large outside area. Picturesque setting by a stream, with mill wheel outside my room. Plenty of parking. There was a screen in the bar, with several suggestions of local places to see. Breakfast was very nice. I opted for the small breakfast and there was plenty of it

While the room was lovely and clean, the balcony area wasn't! There was a table and some chairs, that would have been nice to sit in, as it was a warm night, but they, along with the railings were dirty and covered in cobwebs. It was a shame, because if clean, the balcony, overlooking the stream, with the mill wheel and with several carp in it, would have been a lovely area to relax

stayed in room 1, a large twin room overlooking the river with a balcony. (can be a double). clean, good sized bathroom, lovely hot shower. The standard of food is brilliant, locally sourced produce, good quality and huge but really well presented portions. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. lots of opportunity for walks in the local area or a short drive away. lovely waking up to the sounds of local wildlife. We arrived on a sunny Sunday and the pub was very busy but given the quality of food and play area for kids, it's totally understandable to see why it's so popular. managed to get a table for food despite how busy it was.

The staff serving food in the evening were very nice, food very nice but overpriced, very quirky large beer garden, dog friendly. Nothing to really complain about the room apart from the light outside.

Irs a lovely place, very quirky. Shame the staff were not very welcoming! Well mainly the person that greeted us at the bar. Very uninterested, appeared like he couldn't e bothered to talk to us and was joking around with the other staff, felt a bit like we were an inconvenience. Very over priced food in the evening, I did wonder why the room was so cheap. Room was OK and clean but a huge sensor spotlight was going off all night, it was so bright it woke up multiple times

It would be quicker to write what we didn't like, this box would be empty, all I can say is this place is a hidden treasure and you're missing out if you don't visit. The food was amazing, 4 meat roast was unreal! Breakfast was perfect, sooty (our dog) even got a sausage! Walking round the grounds in the morning with the dog and a coffee watching the animals be fed and the goats let out to roam was very good for the soul. Very relaxed place, very animal friendly and the staff were brilliant too.... obviously! Feels odd calling them staf as they all gave family and friends vibes. Loved every minute, I should have booked 2 nights but will be back with friends /family soon without a doubt!!

That i only booked one night!

My partner and I had a beautiful stay in one of the Shepherds Huts, the staff were all amazingly friendly, and we were greeted on arrival. The Hut was clean, beautiful, and perfect for what we wanted. Tea, Coffee and biscuits are supplied in the hut too. We booked dinner at the pub for the evening, which was fab! delicious food and great service. Breakfast in the morning was also brilliant, full English was great, and morning staff also very friendly. Overall, we loved it and wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Wifi and service weren't great in the cabin, but it the pub was great! But in such a rural area it is to be expected so didn't affect out trip at all.

We stayed in a Shepherds hut which was sweet and seemed very new. The location is very rural and has lots of outdoor seating which was great as the weather was lovely. The breakfast is good with a reasonable choice.

Our evening meal was ok. The photos of food on the website were really well presented but what we had was just ordinary pub grub but maybe we just ordered the wrong things. Desserts we thought were very expensive so we didn't bother. If you are on the larger side the Shepherds huts probably won't suit as there is very little room to get down the sides of the bed.

We ended up at The Little Mill on a snowy midweek night in January, not quite knowing what to expect. We need not have worried, because this turned out to be the sort of country inn that you always hope to stumble across, but so seldom find. The Little Mill is warm, welcoming and unpretentious accommodation where you feel immediately at home. We were three adults travelling with a dog, so booked Room 1. This turned out to be a self contained flat with a bedroom sleeping three, a bathroom and a living room/dining room with a fully equipped kitchenette (including a hob, microwave and fridge). The bar is convivial and dog friendly, with a roaring fire and exceptionally friendly staff (including the owners and their dogs). Our dog - who loves nothing more than an evening in the pub - thought that she'd died and gone to heaven. We had already eaten before we arrived, but - based on our discussions about food sourcing and the excellent breakfast the next day - we will certainly eat here next time. There's a beer garden opposite the pub which apparently hosts a farmer's market every so often. There's lots of parking compared to the number of rooms, but I imagine that on a summer day when people are coming for the apparently excellent Sunday carvery, it could get busy.

The Inn is located in a quiet countryside location ideal for a relaxing stay. There are a number of walks starting from outside the Inn of varying difficulties from easy to long distance and also a Mountain bike route so it is ideal if you want to leave your car there and wander off in the countryside before, after or during your stay. The Inn is dog friendly too for those who like to take their 4 legged friend along. On arrival we were checked in at the bar and shown to our room throughout our stay we were made to feel most welcome and valued guests. The rooms are very comfortable, roomy, spotlessly clean and modern, comfy beds, all the facilities you require for a relaxing stay. We arrived too late to sample the food but the menu looked lovely and good value for money. Breakfast served in the bar area was lovely and they pride themselves on using locally sourced ingredients. We will definitely return to the Little Mill Inn and can't wait to sample the food. A stay at the inn is highly recommended.

A lovely little place with a pub, lovely beer garden (would be amazing in summer!), hotel and some shepherds huts on site. Surrounded by nature, by the river and some animals like goats, ducks and geese. The shepherds hut was cute, with everything needed for one night stay. Lovely owners, accommodating staff at the pub, helping to create a bespoke vegan meal for us in the evening. Excellent vegan dessert - sticky toffee brownie with vanilla ice-cream, yum!

The hut is very compact, not much space for luggage and a tiny shower room, but to be expected.
