The beds were very comfortable, the shower was very refreshing, the pub was in a nice quiet location which gave me the chance to explore Old Glossop and the countryside around it. The staff were very friendly and helpful such as the kind girl who organised a taxi for me back to the train station, ( sorry its took me so long to do this), i really cant find fault :)

There was nothing that i didnt like it really was perfect for what I needed

This is an excellent pub with very good rooms. My room was very comfortable, quiet and with lots of storage space for clothes etc. if needed. The breakfasts were superb, all freshly cooked to order and piping hot. The location is good. About 15 minutes walk into town and very easy access by car to the multitude of great walks and views around the Peak District. Also a very nice bar with a local feel to it to relax in the evening.

Beware the "free parking" as this is street parking, not dedicated parking spaces. I arrived on Sunday afternoon when the area was packed and struggled to find a space. No problem for the rest of the time though. No problem for me, but the staircase leading up to the rooms is very steep and I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone with mobility problems.

The staff are fantastic, the pub is really great (the ales are perfect), and the curry house on the middle floor is excellent too. Whether you want to spend time in Glossop, or walk in the hills, the location is ideal. The cooked breakfast is made to order and really tasty.

This is a great place to stay, except for one big thing: every morning (including Sundays), the restaurant on the middle floor (between the pub and the rooms) is cleaned from 5.30am. The rooms are really warm (with no fans or aircon), so in the summer the windows are likely to be open. That makes the cleaning very, very loud - almost like the hoover is in the room with you. I can't imagine anyone being able to sleep past 5.30. I'd love to book here again, but would only do so if I knew this wouldn't happen.

Set in a beautiful part of Glossop old town, surrounded by hills, beautiful homes and a glorious public park. The Inn supplied a tasty full English breakfast, along side fruit, cereal and yoghurt. The family room was large and made good use of the space.

The orientation of the main bed together with the sagging mattress caused me severe heartburn which took double my usual medication to resolve. The single bed mattresses were also sagging and uncomfortable...my son tried both in order to get a good night's sleep. The Inn is very busy and keeps late hours and has a live band on a Saturday night, nothing an excellent pair of earplugs being very tired couldn't cope with but a heads up is always nice. By 8am on Sunday there was no hot water.

Old world country pub in a beautiful small village Old Glossop. Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Room beautifully clean. Food on hand . Had Breakfast and evening meals in the pub. Very beautiful park just up the road for walks and short walk in to Glossop town centre were you can find lovely cafés. 40 minute drive to RHS Bridgewater garden. We will definitely stay again.

No car park but various free places you can park close to pub so not really a problem.

I really enjoyed my stay—the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were absolutely amazing, always kind and helpful.

The only downside was that the pipes made very loud noises around midnight and again early in the morning between 5–6am, which disturbed my sleep a bit. Hopefully, this can be looked into because everything else was great!

Greeted with a cheerful welcome, and shown to the room. Given excellent information on facilities, and on entering the pub after hours. It was a nice size room with plenty of space and the bed was perfect. The full English Breakfast was well cooked and presented, and complemented with a choice of cereals and juices.

There's nothing I didn't like about The Queen's Arms.

The queen's arms were very welcoming and cosy, the room was spotless and clean and a very good size, it had good facilities especially the shower which was really hot and powerful, all the staff and locals were very friendly. The village itself is very picturesque with good local amenities only a short walk away. Good choice of breakfast as you had options for a fry up veg or meat ,fruit and yoghurt plus cereal with a gluten free option all with fresh juice coffee and tea.

The only thing I didn't like was the actual fried breakfast, the quality of the bacon and sausage wasn't that good plus my husband asked for a poached egg which was over poached . But I think this is down to them not having their normal chef? I opted for the fruit , yoghurt and toast for the 2nd day which was lovely Also the walls are thin upstairs we had a group of women next to us who were very loud but they eventually quietened down.

Lovely guest house above a traditional pub in Old Glossop. Location was excellent (lovely and quiet, a babbling brook outside) and the room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. Breakfast was good (full english and cereal options), and good selection of food and drinks in the pub. Location of the guest house is very well placed for exploring the dark peak region of the Peak District.

We managed to lock ourselves out of the guest house during the day because we weren't made aware on check-in of the out of hours access (we got some help from a lovely man called Dave though, so thanks Dave).

We arrived very late on a very wet evening. We are three gentleman cyclists. The staff made sure that we had drinks in the bar in the very comfy pub, but most important of all fixed it up with the Indian restaurant upstairs that we would have a lovely meal and a convivial nightcap downstairs. This is followed by a wonderful breakfast, setting us up for the day. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, particularly if you are a cyclist!

The rain! The rain led to a bikes been covered in mud, and I would like to further sale at the hotel were kind enough, not only to provide cycle storage, but also a hose with cold water to clean our bikes before being on our way. finally, the hotel point of us in the direction of a local cycle repair specialist to help fix a gashed tire which is leaking air. Not the best thing or best start the day before going over with her pass on the bike so much appreciated Support!
