The location was ideal for my purposes and check in was efficient. My additional needs and requirements were met by the staff so thank you all. Netflix was an unexpected bonus.

We stayed just the one night as we were at a gig in Holmfirth a few miles away. The room was very clean and nice, ideal for short stays . Really easy booking in system where you are given key codes to enter once you press the service button , good parking for overnight stays with a huge gated entrance for vehicle safety only opened by the staff on intercom, Holly was our contact on the remote service on arrival and she answered our calls immediately on the 3 or 4 times we needed some help and advice and directions etc and Holly was lovely and helpful each time and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely return and stay here again in the future. Thank you Alf & Jo x

Only minor things and down to personal choice. I like a few pillows to sleep better, so maybe a couple more in the room please but then again we didn’t ask for more and it’s probable we would have received more if so as I mentioned before, Holly was very helpful.

Everything was simple and straightforward Room was well presented and clean. The woman who checked me in was ever so sweet and patient and made sure everything was all OK :)

The location was convenient, easy access, convenience of the car park, staff were super friendly and accommodating and the bed was comfortable. I appreciated the discount offered for the next time I stay and the offer to upgrade the room on the next stay at no extra cost!

The room was basic with one chair and a small table, it was myself and my partner (2 people) despite this there was a sign on the wall which stated DO NOT EAT ON THE BED! the sign also stated everything you would be charged for - from stains on the sheets which included blood! It was a very specific notice which was not worded the best! It was a basic room for the night but not worth the cost I paid! I could hear other guests entering and exiting as they went up and down the stairs but again the sign on the wall stated a charge for 'noise' all of the stated charges made me uncomfortable staying in the room 'just incase'. £200 initial deposit seems excessive despite the quick refund following the stay

I had an exceptional experience during my recent stay at HD Central Lodge. From the moment I arrived, Holly provided outstanding customer service. She was incredibly helpful, guiding me to my room and assisting with parking, which made the check-in process seamless and stress-free. The hotel's location was also perfect—just a short walk to a variety of restaurants and pubs, which added to the convenience and enjoyment of my visit. I can confidently say this was one of the most positive hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Thank you for maintaining such high standards, and a special shout-out to Holly for her professionalism and care. :)

No hot water from the shower, only tap.

I am not fond of hotels that operate remotely as communication can often go awry. Absolutely NOT not case here. Holly and Beth were reactive, clear and really helpful and pleasant to make arrangements with. The room was large, well equipped for the price and the bed was lovely and comfortable. Bathroom was a good size and everything was clean and tidy. A huge bonus was access to NETFLIX on the TV. We never expected that from a budget hotel.

As a couple staying over there was only one chair in the room and looming signage not to eat in bed as you may be charged. We ended up sitting on the floor to eat which wasn't ideal. That said, if I needed to return to Huddersfield for a night I would definitely come back here. The car parking rate and flexibility was also top notch.
