Hi I give it " very good". Look, the low price distracts from how good it is. So probably pitched low because today's travellers think they should get the Ritz, spoilt people wanting TVs, teas-maids, WiFi, niggling about simple stuff. But how it is at the Woolpack is better. The host was most helpful and attentive. Every question I asked, nothing too much trouble. The room was warm, inviting clean and uncomplicated. Restful even with a main road outside, nicely insulated. At home I don't have a TV myself. The room didn't have one. But nowadays who watches mainstream TV anyway ? That's why Wheely bins were invented to chuck normal TV drivel in it. People all have iPhones with Netflix etc. So a room without. TV? ....A bonus ! 6 Nearby, everything one needs, food outlets of all kinds, late shops, restaurants and pubs all within easy walking distance. And regular buses, bus stop just nearby, with the city less than a mile away. Woolpack is inexpensive, probably underpriced, comfortable, restful, warm and cozy, well maintained and with a good attentive host. Why didn't I give a 10?... because everyone would expect private parking in a 10 review. I don't personally agree really with that, street parking is what millions of folk do anyway. but it would matter to many. Thank you to all at the Woolpack. Good experience. Clean place. Manager is very professional and kind.

Booking. Com hasn't updated the number which we should call tp gain entrance. So we ended up waiting a good 20 minutes until the manager called us amd apologised and gave us the instructions.

The communication with the owner was good when I had a problem the room was nice and clean

Good location and value for money. Good room size and actually very nice. Has a separate kitchen so you can cook.

Shower needs unblocking and leaks a bit, but very modern and comfortable

Stayed in room 4 bed was comfortable en-suite was spacious

Handle on window was broken so couldn’t close window heating on full room very warm

Location and price - amazing. Ease of getting into the room, great. Can’t ask for anything more at this price.
