Clean room with a very comfy bed, nice shower room, and a friendly welcome at the front desk. We didn't use the other facilities, but I've been to the Sky Lounge before and it's nice. Lovely location by the canal.

There were no sockets next to the bed for charging phones (I use mine as an alarm, so this was frustrating), and the television didn't have BBC 6Music in the list of radio stations!

This is a very good (and good-looking) hotel in a terrific location both for the railway station and the city centre. It has all the positive attributes of a high standard, very contemporary, hotel. Our room was impeccably clean (as was the bathroom), bright, with very good lighting by the bed, which was huge and comfortable. The breakfast was good with plenty of fruit. The hotel's staff are pleasant and helpful. The hotel's Skylounge with great views of the city is very popular with locals, but the hotel seems to manage this well. The downside of our stay was the lifts. Only one out of three was working for the four days we were there, so on one occasion, we had a wait of ten minutes. We were led to understand that this is a recurring problem. So the hotel needs to get a grip on this.

So so many things! Location to the train station. Literally a 2 minute walk from the back entrance of the station. Staff are all friendly and helpful. (First time in 43 years I’ve left something at the hotel. I’ve called and they are going to arrange to get it sent to me) Bed is comfy. Tv is easy to use. Room a good size. I enquired if ice buckets could be provided before I stayed. They said yes so when I arrived I asked for one. When I got to the room there was 1 waiting for me and then they brought the one I asked for upon check in. I was buzzing! Absolutely amazing service. Finally, the heating/cooling system for the room! Literally the best and easiest to use one ever! I’m not exaggerating too. This was my sixth 4 star hotel I’ve stayed in, in leeds. I don’t think I have to keep trying the others as this was by far the best I have stayed in and I will be staying here again.

There was 3 things I can point out. 1 - waiting for the lift was a nightmare to go down. 2 lifts running and they was always full due to the floors above and the sky lounge. 2 - sink in bathroom was too low but I think the room may have been room aimed at guests with disability. If that’s the case then it’s understandable. 3 - there was no shelf in the bathroom. Looks like there used to be one. Due to this, I didn’t have anywhere to put my things so I just had to leave my washbag on top of the bin.

It was a fantastic room; we chose the junior suite as it seemed a worthwhile upgrade and weren't disappointed. We've stayed in a standard room previously, which was also excellent, but the suite was worth it

Think the only downside was the skybar, we had been out for a meal for the evening and thought we'd have a nightcap before going back to our room, we came out of the lift and was immediately greeted and asked if we had booked, absolutely fine, however it came across with an atmosphere of unwelcoming and that we were intruding, almost pretentious that we weren't on the guest list for a private party

The rooms were lovely and overlooked the canal, they were well fitted with a fridge and ironing board and exceptionally clean. The bed has to be one of the most comfy we have ever slept in! The hotel staff were lovely and loved the cookies on arrival. The breakfast was superb. It was gorgeous weather so we were able to sit outside in the sky lounge having a night cap before bed! We loved that the hotel has pictures up of Leeds landmarks, which is always so nice rather than random pictures of other unconnected landmarks. We will definitely be staying again!

Nothing.

It was comfortable with all facilities, shower was really nice Breakfast was amazing it had everything really worth the price.

The shower floor was very slippy. Lighting was poor to apply makeup, the best Lighting was in the wardrobe!! I asked for an upgrade as it was my moms birthday, I didn't get a reply to this message directly but then had a message saying we look forward to making your moms birthday special, so I assumed we would be upgraded or maybe a free cocktail or drink etc for the celebration, but there was no upgrade or anything to help make the stay special

It felt very new, spacious and quite luxurious, great location being in the canal, beautiful cocktail bar with views of the city, the staff were all friendly

The only downside was that we ate in the Lock restaurant which was quite disappointing, the food wasn’t so great and it took a long time to arrive, in retrospect we should have eaten at one of the local independent restaurants, this is something that the hotel group needs to address as we have eaten at Doubletrees restaurants before and they weren’t good either, breakfast was much better, otherwise a lovely hotel

Fantastic location by the canal and bars, along with being close to the shops. Ambience, cleanliness, and decor of hotel were perfect, modern hotel providing everything you need. Rooms clean, modern, and spacious with really comfortable beds and perfect shower. Decent hairdryer and iron are a plus. Skybar is a plus, especially with an outdoor area to sit in the sun with a cocktail. Those with food allergies, attention to this is excellent. Breakfast was perfect, lots of variety and food kept fresh. Regular visitors to Leeds, so this is top of the list to revisit.

Some of the staff were a little unfriendly and unattentive, especially in the downstairs bar.

When we checked-in, the lady on Reception (apologies, I don’t know the lady’s name) was very helpful, polite and friendly- taking note of my previous request to have a quieter room without my mentioning it. In addition, as we were attending a wedding the next day, we were given a late check-out at 2pm with no extra charge, which was very much appreciated.

Minor points!: The bathroom isn’t quite as nice as the refurbished rooms and the towels are a bit thin. No slippers or bathrobes - however I understand that from an environmental perspective the reasons for not providing them.

Room was lovely, good shower, nice size we had king size room. Hotel close to shops bars & restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

We came over a weekend & the hotel was very busy one lift was out of order so had to wait a few times for the lift… sky bar we would have liked a drink in there but again was very busy..
